I’m a hairstylist who began my journey at Sola Salon Studios in Boulder, CO, before making the move to Arizona, where I landed in the Sola North Scottsdale location. With over four decades in the industry as a pro stylist and salon/medi-spa owner and partner, I’ve had countless salon experiences—but none quite like this one!

I was in the same salon for 19 years. Always wanting to go out on my own, but like most, very reluctant.

A friend of mine worked at Sola Salons and I would go visit him. I loved the place. Finally, after a year, I decided to go for it. I will admit, the first couple of months was scary. However, with programs like Style Seat, Schedulocity, and others, one really has a digital receptionist. Giving the stylist more time to focus on their clientele as opposed to constantly answering a phone.

Avery, the landlord, is incredibly professional. He constantly goes above and beyond. I've never had a boss that treated his staff as well as Avery treats his Tenants.

The move was worth it. Being my own boss has been one of the best things I could have ever done. I've literally doubled my income and can set my own hours. The stylist can access his/her suite any time. I've done clients as late as 10 p.m..

When you decide to take the jump and go out on your own, I can highly recommend one of Sola Salon's Suites run by Avery.

I asked for a perm -- I've had perms for years, they do great on my hair, and I'm a blonde with some bleached spots. So, when I met Gorana Stankovic, we did the usual consultation and she shocked me! She said she wanted what would be best for me hair and not to just take my money.. loved this! Her and I came up with a game plan for my hair, I got my perm, and I love it!

Got my perm done in May or June (2 & 3 on pictures) and today my perm is still going strong! I'm pretty sure BECAUSE Gorana helped me plan out my perm, it's lasting really well! I always got for a tight ringlet and as time goes by, the curls get larger, so far when I do my hair, it's still a smaller ringlet; can't find day of perm photos, but they were and are still tight!! No breakage, no noodle hair, nothing -- no issues from her perm, hair cuts, or other services. She is my new and permanent hair lady and I adore her!
