What a nice lunch date with hubby today.
First, the front counter lady was SUPER friendly and welcomed us with a 'Mahalo'. Very fun attitude.
I ordered the aloha plate with Kalua pork (comes with rice and their macaroni salad) and a side salad. The PORK was really nicely done- yum. I wanted to try the sauces (teriyaki and katsu) but the pork just didn't need it. I did dip just a bite in each- The teriyaki sauce is served warm in the Katsu sauce is served cold and they were both fantastic. The Katsu sauce I would say tastes a little more Hawaiian of course.
Hubby had an aloha plate with a barbecue chicken and he really enjoyed it. His was served with a bit of rice underneath the chicken and a side salad as part of the meal. while he tried the sauces, he didn't feel the chicken needed any, so that's good!
The portions were large, so I was unable to finish my pork, but it will be going home for a dinner sandwich. bonus!
I love the fact that they had four different kinds of ice teas, one of them was unsweet and the rest were flavored options that were sweetened.
Service was very quick, we had our food about five minutes after we ordered it and the place was pretty busy. There was a decent number of people ordering and eating in and quite a line of folks coming in for takeout orders.
The place was really clean as well- hand sanitizer at the door too.

This 5 star 🌟 review is for a bad situation turned right. Never, and I mean NEVER have i been helped not only so quickly, but so efficiently and kindly as I was when I went in today. I had an issue with my food. And the bad experience was such a great turnaround I don't need to write 1 word about it. I called in and let them know of what had happened.Alyssa (I believe she's the manager) with absolutly no hesitation gave me her full attention (right before they were closing for the night too) and displayed such a genuine concern and compassion. She not only resolved my issue, but she went above and beyond in any way she could to make sure I as the customer was still left satisfied after the situation. And I was. And that compassion and that kindness came out of her so genuinely I can't even begin to tell you. This review EASILY could have been a bad one. But after such a wonderful wonderful person doing backflips to make sure you were helped to the maximum they possibly could, I cannot even be mad in the slightest. Thank you Alyssa, you are a true rarity of the industry I may not be ready to come back yet, but you havent ruined the experience, if anything you saved me from never coming back. This place provided one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. I've had nasty hot dogs at Circle K, grocery store sushi, and green turkey from a school cafeteria. All would rate higher than this.
We ordered 6 plates to-go, with a 33 minute preparation estimate. We arrived on time, and upon arrival, the girl working the counter said our order wasn't ready. After ignoring us in the EMPTY restaurant, we approached the counter, and she had the gall to ask what we wanted. We had literally been standing at the counter for 20 minutes. After reiterating that we were waiting for our order, she looked at THE ONLY order on the counter and said, "Here you go.' Our orders had been sitting on the counter since we walked in. Same bags, same people, same location. There was no sense of wrongdoing either. I mean, our food was literally sitting on the counter for 20 minutes while she lied about its existence, while ignoring us. What a joke.
When we got home, not only was the food cold from sitting on the counter for God knows how long, the orders were wrong and food was missing. Not willing to deal with the stupidity that exists at this location, we didn't go back. The food was edible, at best, and the service was absolutely atrocious. A complete dumpster fire of a business.
