YES still open in 2020 normal hours and YES you can try shoes on in store and YES this place sells the best running shoes, see below.
If you like Brooks shoes, you will love this store. I had always gotten Brooks shoes at fleet feet, because it just fit me the best and I could run 10+ miles without any problems due to a bad shoe.
This store is the best Brooks shoe store. Well actually, it is the only Brooks store in North America, because the headquarters is here in Seattle (learned this in the store.) Brooks shoes are everywhere but they are not known to have just their own shoe store, so I thought it was pretty cool to see a store of ALL brooks and only brooks.
Staff here is super helpful, they are trained to tell by the way you walk whether you need a support shoe or a neutral shoe.
ALWAY ALWAYS ALWAYS better to try shoes on in person in store than online. I randomly bought a brooks shoe online because it was on sale on amazon but this was a complete waste of money because I learned it was a support shoe and did completely not fit my foot right, my idiot self didn't decide to wear them until past the return date, o well.
Return policy is 90 days refund or exchange, that's better than most other running shoe stores. Fleet feet is only 60 days return policy.
Shoes are kinda pricy like $130 average for a good pair of running shoes. But honestly I still have some Brooks running shoes from college (8 years ago, yes I'm old now) and I can still run long distance in them and I have done quite a few half marathons in them over 8 years. The only reason I'm getting new shoes is because I'm human and we're trained to like "new."...
Read moreThis was the oddest experience ever in a shoe store! I went yesterday on 5/21. I'm not sure if the employee was new, lazy or wasn't that educated or trained in what she was selling. I already own Brooks shoes but needed a new pair. She was not helpful AT ALL! Didn't ask me what pain I was having or the location of the pain, if my current brooks were working out for me, nothing... she just brought me to the wall of shoes and stared at it. When I asked her if they still offer fitting/or tests to help me choose the proper shoe for my foot, she just said, "no we do, but it's just personal preference on what shoe you want and what works for you." So strange she would keep making this comment as I'd rather depend on science and technology to help understand my foot and what style of Brooks best suit me. If it was personal preference and going by looks alone I can guarantee I wouldn't choose Brooks shoes for aesthetics. I guess she was only offering to help me choose what new color/pattern I wanted since she wasn't offering any recommendations or help? I left and went to Fleet Feet and received a proper shoe fitting, tests, and help from an educated salesperson. I highly recommend to go there instead unless you only need help choosing which color of Brooks...
Read moreVery disappointed in trail running shoes I bought for my adult son who lives overseas. When he visited earlier this year I paid $157.00 for BROOKS shoes where the heels of both shoes basically disintegrated within a few months of light wear. (See pictures) My son recently returned for a visit and when we took the shoes in to the flagship store on Stone Way the manager basically blamed my son for the problem. I have 3 sons and have purchased many shoes over the decades. These were the worst ever—as was the customer service experience. As we left the officious manager said maybe they were poorly fitted—to which I responded that they were fitted at that store by a representative who seemed to know what he was doing. He also basically accused my son of putting them on and off without untying them or with wearing insoles—both of which my son explained he did not do. The manager also went on and on about how much experience he had in multiple shoe stores selling many different brands. He told us that all shoes fall apart like this—which is absolute nonsense! This used to be a great Seattle store that sold great shoes. Regrettably, it no longer is and we will never shop at...
