Edit- as the business decided to respond to a 3 year old with a pathetic and snarky response , I will reinforce my review. First off, the host just walked us to a tiny table, without any forewarning that dispute the fact 5 patrons were there at the time, we were to sit off to the side at a table that would not hold food and drink for 3 people, let alone give any decent views of the game. The fact that the response acknowledged the undersized tables that clearly aren't suitable for the business they anticipate while taking a snark tone, as if I'm in the wrong for showing up early to get a suitable seat, only to be told AFTER being shown an insultingly small table off to the side when there is 8 vacant tables that would provide a comfortable experience. Never did the staff look to find a solution but basically to express that my business wasn't worth their time unless I was bringing 2 more people. The staff was just as rude as the response and there wasn't nothing genuine about the "good luck" offered. It was rebuff to try and insinuate that it would be difficult to find a bar with a better option. Thankfully, LTD a few blocks away offered enough seating, service, and everything we needed to enjoy the game,.even after having our time wasted by the Dock staff, costing me time that I had planned to be sure to provide a fun experience for the family that I had visiting. It's not a shock that the Dock has one of the lowest ratings in Fremont. They decided to double down with being an example of how not to run a business and I'm very happy that after 3 years, they feel the need to waste their time to respond in a manner of not taking accountability when it's obvious it was their failure and attitude that led to this previous review. To quote the terrible staff I had 3 years ago, "good luck" with keeping people coming to your bar, because their's plenty of sports bars in the area that don't treat patrons like burdens unless they bring a minimum of 6 people. I'll continue to not go here.
Original - Went to watch the Seahawks game. Arrived 40 minutes early to get settled in with a party of 3. Was at first offered a table that was 2.5 ft by 2.5 ft for all of us. Was told they would only give an actual table to larger parties. Was told we could wait, but that's a complete insult to ignore that we were there well before other people to have them given priority, simply because there was maybe 5 people in a group. The fact they just walked us to that tiny table without any indication shows how little they care. Manager was completely uncaring, tried to act like it was our fault for not accepting a tiny table, and even gave a sarcastic "good luck" after we we said we werent going to be pushed into a corner, as if I'm going to be unable to find anything else. Will be avoiding and recommend the same for anyone looking to watch the game or looking to be treated...
Read moreNever felt more unwelcome in a restaurant before. Sat at bar, not too busy, around late lunch, 1:30ish. Waited 10 minutes to be acknowledged, even though several employees walked directly past me. Ordered a beer and said I would also be ordering food, but needed just a minute. Another 15 minutes went by, and several groups that came in after me, including someone who sat at the bar, got their orders taken first. The waitress or bartender never asked for my food order, despite me mentioning food and getting a menu. I finally asked a different employee if I could order food, and she seemed annoyed I asked her. This second employee also served the food when it came out. After that, 30 minutes went by and neither employee asked if I needed anything, or another beer. The first employee either went on break or home without ever saying another word or letting me know someone else would help, and I finally had to ask a 3rd new employee for my own check. 3 servers over about an hour for one beer and plate of fish and chips. Not a single one of them asked me if I needed anything or if all was ok. I had to ask each time for anything, and got up and reached behind the counter to get my own silverware because they didn't give any with the food. I was wearing normal everyday clothes, and said please and thank you. Very weird, but I will never visit again and will let others know not to either. The only plus was the food was tasty, but not worth...
Read moreTheir food was actually pretty good last time I was here. The 1 star is for service and cleanliness (or lack thereof).
I just tried to go there for lunch with my dog I know that dogs aren't allowed to stay inside, so: I quickly walked through the dining room, made eye contact with a server and told her I would be sitting in the beer garden - she replied with a cheerful "OK!". So my dog and I went out and sat in the beer garden/parking lot. I was sitting out there for at least 15 minutes before I got tired of waiting and went inside to talk to a server again. A guy walks over to me and says "I'm sorry, but I just can't have dogs inside" to which I replied "I know, but I've been sitting out there for 10+ minutes and nobody has seen me", he just replies "I know, I'm sorry I can't have dogs inside" and escorts me outside. Once we get outside he has the gall to ask " do you have a menu yet?" . Of course I don't have a menu yet, I just told you I've been out here for a while and nobody has seen me. Ugh. I get that they are worried about the health inspector or something, but at least don't create a Catch 22 situation where it's impossible to even alert the waitstaff that you need attention without being berated for bringing a dog inside for a second.
Where does my cleanliness complaint come in? Well, the beer garden (parking lot) reeks of something decaying. Reminded me of the smell when a dead rat is stuck inside the wall...
