Game Gurus — Attraction in Seattle

Despite what the 1-2 star reviewers says about this location, they’re exaggerating, yes while there are repro’s they do sell legit cartridges I’ve been searching for a Pokémon Emerald for 15 years and decided to call them up hoping to all that is holy to nerd god that they had Emerald and yes they had an original copy and a Repro they sold them both for the respectable market listing prices (original copies are worth $150-160 and repro’s are worth $20-30 on the game market), so while they do sell Repro’s they do have original cartridges you can tell a real and fake from the copyright and the chip on the games board.

Anywhat I digress I called this location looking for a non Repro of Pokémon emerald and they had it, I instantly told the gentleman working at the location to hold the game for me and drove from north Everett down to their location and snatched up the original for about $140 they sell the games for a reasonable and fair price I was also able to then buy brilliant diamond and Pearl for 39.99 each as well as sword and shield so despite those negative reviews I would highly recommend you pop in, look at the stock ask which cartridge is an original and which is a Repro they’ll be honest with you and if you suspect they aren’t just look at the game board, my Pokémon Emerald was clean when I bought it and the gentleman replaced the battery so I could have a clean and healthy game.

I went to Game Gurus a while back in end of July 2024 but I forgot to add pictures while I was there for the review. I did add a 5 star review a while ago but there wasn’t any pictures. Since I revisited Games Gurus again, I decided to edit the review with pictures. So anyways, I stopped by at Game Gurus again and bought myself an authentic GBA Pokémon Ruby and it’s a fair price. The owner is great and kind to hold it for me while on the phone call before I arrived there. Not only I bought Ruby, I even bought a Switch case, Joy con charger controller with charging cable, Minecraft PS Vita game, and a 3DS game. The case is a great size as you may see the pictures that I posted below and other pictures that you’ll see as well. Again the game store is great to check out and the game store owner is a really great guy. If you like to travel to game stores just like me, I recommend checking out Game Gurus. I will definitely go back again when I’m nearby at Game Gurus.

I went with the expectation that they could repair two Nintendo Switch controllers, you know, the left stick issue. If it wasn't possible, I was thinking about seeing what options they had.

The owner, cold and distant, first told me that they did not make them because it was more expensive to fix them than to buy new ones, then when he saw them (because perhaps he did not understand), he told me that repairing them was simple, that they only placed a paper ball under the command and that was it. But that they did not do that repair, sorry.

Instead of looking for an alternative service or giving me an option, the shopkeeper said goodbye saying that I should drive to Nintendo of America, since they repair the controllers, not knowing that I don't have a car.

Disappointing first shopper experience on site, I will definitely not visit the store again although it looks interesting. The shopkeeper is right, I better buy or repair it directly with...
