We are working with Tara multiple projects in our whole house renovation: three vanities, a whole kitchen and a built in cabinet in a bedroom. Throughout the process Tara has been exceptionally helpful; at their busiest time of the year one can expect a bit of a delay, but that always came with a heartfelt apology and immediate dedication to get a quote, question or issue resolved as soon as possible.
We decided to DIY the kitchen and one of the vanity installations. The quality of the cabinetry is excellent for the price point; cabinet boxes for the line of product we got are baltic birch plywood, perfectly square and dimensionally accurate to a 1/32 of an inch. The fronts we got are HDF with a vinyl laminate, seem very scratch resistant and solid. Of all 12 or so drawer fronts, only 1 is about 1/16 of an inch different in size which you may only notice if you look very closely.
There are many online retailers that sell similar (RTA) cabinetry online but with longer delivery time.A local representative and local stock if you need something in a pinch really gives Pius a huge advantage for the Seattle market.
Tara was super helpful as well with the design of the kitchen. Admittedly I already had a design and dimensions in mind, but her input was extremely helpful to ensure all the right pieces were delivered and properly laid out for a functional kitchen. Our DIY installation went flawlessly with the high quality of these cabinets.
We also decided to go with their countertop slabs. Price is right! and quality is on par with MSI or other big brands, although admittedly they carry a limited selection of stones, however these were more than enough options many of which were already looks we were going for. They also get new shipments every now and then, with new styles.
We did decide to get the quartz professionally installed by one of Pius's installers, and they did an amazing job. We walked in on a Wednesday, and Tara was able to schedule us for Friday on that same week as they had a gap in the schedule. They installed an 8ft long island countertop with double waterfall and L-shape countertops around it with a sink cutout, all done in one morning with great quality. I was initially skeptical as they don't do laser templating like other stone shops that will take measurements and come back three weeks later to install the cut pieces. They came in with the uncut slabs in the morning, set up shop outside of our house on a gravel patch and by 3pm we had finished countertops! If you have the space for on-site fabrication, they have the quickest turnaround without compromising on quality.
We are still working through some projects that may require more built-in cabinetry and will certainly continue to work with...
Read moreWe began with remodeling a small kitchen a couple of years ago in our condo. Pius came highly recommended by a trusted friend.
We were so pleased with our first cabinet order that when the time came to build our new home last year - we knew we were going to use Pius for our cabinet, fixtures and countertop needs. Our new home builder noticed the new cabinets in our condo and unsolicited - start commenting on how impressed he was with the finish, quality and construction.
But the quality of the product is only part of what impressed us about Pius. We had numerous design communication with Sally, the in-house designer. Sally was always knowledgeable, patient and incredibly flexible. We cannot thank Sally enough and would like her to know how delighted we are with the results.
Everyone we interacted with from Pius was friendly and truly seemed to want to help. From the sales people in the showroom, to the friendly guys on the dock who helped us with our initial pickup, to the two nice gentleman who delivered our new-home kitchen and finally the countertop-install team that came up to Blaine and knocked out quality-countertops in a day while seeming to enjoy the interaction and the work. The personnel from beginning of the process through the end - all delivered positive experiences.
As we all know, remodeling or new construction can be stressful; anyone or anything that can make the process smoother is greatly valued. Where we have encountered challenges in a few areas of our build, our kitchen and bathroom cabinets, countertops, and fixtures have been a breeze.
We’ll be recommending Pius to everyone we come in contact with whom are either building new...
Read moreAfter stopping into Pius Kitchen and Cabinets’ First Avenue showroom last minute, Tara was kind enough to assist me even though they were nearly closing for the day. She took the time to have a brief conversation, listened to my needs, and confidently recommended that I visit their Fourth Avenue showroom to work with Elijah for our cabinet project.
When I returned, Elijah was wonderful to work with. He is efficient, incredibly knowledgeable, and highly professional. He understands client needs and expectations and is honest and transparent in his design recommendations. With limited information and vision from us, he was able to fully design our kitchen and guide us through the process with clarity.
When we came back to finalize the design and proceed with the bid, this time with my parents, my sister, and myself, he handled our numerous questions, differing opinions, and competing personalities with patience and professionalism. He helped us complete the final vision and get everything ordered, providing clear expectations for delivery and installation.
When the cabinets arrived, we discovered a few components were missing. Elijah quickly coordinated with the warehouse to get the missing pieces ordered, delivered, and fully installed without hesitation.
The cabinets themselves are sturdy, high quality, and arrived in excellent condition. Our finished kitchen looks beautiful, especially considering it is in a 130 year old home. We will be returning to Pius for another kitchen remodel in the near future and would not hesitate to recommend Elijah, Tara, and the...
