Titan Inspection Services - Seattle — Attraction in Seattle

We searched for a house inspector for about four months, deciding to go with Titan Inspection Services after weeding through countless reviews. We were not buying or selling a house but have been in our home for 20+ years and wanted to find out what shape it was in and if there was any maintenance we should put on our radar. Making an online appointment was easy and their availability, especially on weekends was appreciated. Our inspector, Kevin Lipke, notified us of his upcoming arrival and appeared on time. Kevin was mindful in his tasks starting with the outside of the house, then roof, and then moving to our crawl space, attic, all rooms, appliances, electrical. plumbing and closets. Kevin welcomed questions during his inspection and at the end of his inspection provided an overview of what was done. We received our inspection report, complete with pictures and observations within 24 hours. As a first time home buyer, I really appreciated Jaime’s expertise when going around the house. He was very understanding that I knew pretty much next to nothing, and explained a lot about repairs, what’s normal, what isn’t, etc. I received a full report the next morning, it also included recommendations, maintenance tips, links to articles about DIY or the importance/functions of certain things around the house. Update: Puget Sound Energy notified me of an issue that needed to be addressed in my new home when turning on a service. I reached out to Titan to clarify about the discrepancy between the inspection report and PSE’s report. Within the same day, they got back to me, acknowledged/confirmed the issue and resolved it as soon it was feasible. I’m so appreciative of Titan’s response; even my realtor was impressed. Appreciate both Tristan and Antoine for their help with inspection and pre-inspection services at different homes. Their reports were thorough (we used it as a checklist for home repairs) and included pictures of damages, as well as recommendations for fixing or contact info for a professional to fix. Professional, on-time for appointment slot, and friendly. Answered all of our questions, gave advice, and explained what they could in their realm of expertise.

My feedback is that I wish they were more thorough with roof inspection. Our first home - A series of events and contractors has informed us that the roof is in worse condition than inspected, and that there are gaping holes near the chimney that is letting water in. I don't fault Titan, just wish they were more critical about an expensive repair.

Despite the roof, I'd still highly recommend Titan Antoine or Tristan for the level of detail in the rest of the report. It's saved us a ton of money with their DIY...
