This is my first time to Yoksod. I want to commend this establishment for being one of the few Thai Noodle restaurants and for that I give them Five Stars because there’s not too many Thai noodle restaurants. I had the Grilled Meatball and Blanket Prawns appetizers, which were tasty. The Grilled Beef Meatballs was honestly very hard and on the tougher side of how meatballs should taste, but the Blanket Prawns wrap was very flaky and full of prawns, very tasty indeed. As for the entrées, we had both the Dry Style Noodle and Noodle Soup version of Braised Beef Noodle. Both entrées were well portioned but there’s a lot of room for improvement. The braised beef should be cooked longer for more tenderness. It was very chewy. As for the meatball, it was very hard as I mentioned earlier. The dry version of the entrée is served with a black sauce that is very salty. The service was excellent. The restaurant was very clean and the ambience was very nice. The room for improvement in my opinion would be to cook the braised beef longer for tenderness and maybe looking for a new brand of beef meatballs because the one they serve is a bit too dry and hard. It’s worth trying this place out if you like Thai noodles because there’s not too many Thai...
Read moreI rarely give 5 stars. You either have to go above and beyond in service, or your food has to be stellar. It’s a hard bar to reach.
I did an online order for pickup, and was surprised at how good it was.
The Khao woo curry noodle and that iced tea were delicious. So good I plan to come back in person to try it at the restaurant.
The only suggestions I would give to the restaurant is to pack the crunchy noodle separately so they do not get soggy. And make a less sweet version of your iced coffee.
They already thoughtfully kept the curry and other ingredients separate.
I’m picky and prefer green curry to other curries, and this still satisfies my curry craving.
Service was good too. I called 3-4 times with questions and the lady never lost her patience with me and answered all of them.
This place is very underrated. If this place was that good for takeout I am looking forward to how good they will be in person.
If you haven’t tried this place you need to. It’s hard to find really delicious places with a...
Read moreHidden gem!! Super authentic Thai flavors (sorry folks, candy-sweet noodle dishes can be found elsewhere :p) and one of the few places that doesn't feel like daylight robbery after you're done eating out in Seattle. I've had both the Panang Noodle (which I don't think is a thing I've come across in Thailand, maybe I haven't looked hard enough) and the Dry noodle (egg noodle) with pork. Both of these were a slam dunk in terms of flavor and just overall yumminess. It really felt like I was eating food back in Bangkok. Like others have said, please come here hungry because these are not 200 THB portion sizes; they're big!
There are not many good Thai restaurants in Seattle (IMO), so it was super surprising to me to find this place not bustling on weekend prime dinner time - maybe I came too early? It's a beautiful location with great natural lighting, too.
Service was warm and friendly. I'd come back just for that. Stoked to try the...
