Unacceptable Unprofessional and Dishonest..... I was referred to UW CLinic Woodinville four years ago. Initially the dr. I saw was informative and helpful. Billing on the other hand was terrible. I received 3 bills for 3 different amounts. I paid the first bill (which was more than the 2 that followed) then about a month later received a notice from a collection agency for full payment plus interest. I called the agency and explained I had paid the bill, they treated me like a deadbeat but accepted my explanation. The next time I applied for credit, I learned I had a collection on my credit report which adversely affected it. This has now happened 4 times (4 negative marks I'm still trying to get resolved). Today while I was at my appointment I brought this up and was told to "Lawyer up"... I about fell off my chair. They said this is a known problem and it is the patient's responsibility to go after the billing department and the credit reporting agencies to correct the problem. COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE!!! Since that first Dr. I've been switched to 4 different Dr.'s The most recent was Ahana Roy, MD, FACP. In my life, I have never met anyone as condescending and arrogant as she. In my first visit, she contradicted my previous diagnosis and made a decision to change my medication without any background information on my case. On my second visit, I questioned this and her immediate response was "I didn't do that", followed by "because it is a maintenance medication, and I appeared to be in a good mood on the first visit, she felt it was a ok to reduce my dosage." When I questioned this response, she said " I have thousands of clients and I can't be expected to know everything about everyone of them." I confronted her on making life changing decisions without having accurate information and again she denied doing it. At this point she said she wasn't feeling safe and left to get her manager. The clinic manager was not in but an assistant was and she came in to "Defend" the Dr. After trying to address my concerns and having Dr. Roy lie about her statements, Dr. Roy said she was leaving and walked out. At this point the assistant and I were able to talk and she expressed her frustration with Dr. Roy as well. She also said the billing system is broken and I am not the only client that has had erroneous billing issues. She explained billing is a seperate company and continually is making errors. Overall this is unacceptable service and patient treatment. UW needs to remember, patients don't come to them because we want to, we go because we have to. A little empathy...
Read more57, F. The staff here...nuts. So busy trying to protect the Dr Gods, they have forgotten how to make sense to anyone else. I mean, straight up insane asylum. When I saw my Dr. and all the assistants around him protecting his ego, I mean him, they made it impossible to get straight answers or see how to move forward. Waste of time. The best health insurance in the world is you knowing how your body works and how to take care of it yourself. Start with the basics, nutrition, it is the foundation of your health, you literally are what you eat. -No table salt, sea salt only. -No tap water, spring water only. -No sugar, you have to learn the many names for sugar, lactose, maltodextrin, fructose, etc, (google it), then read the labels at the store and don't buy the item with sugar in it when there is the same kind of item next to it without sugar. -Eat pickled, soured, fermented stuff, it supplies the needed bacteria needed in the gut, and it will stop you from craving carbs. -Absolutely NO corn syrup or corn syrup solids. -Organic fruits and vegs Only, and daily. -Eat things in their natural state, like whole grain rice, not white rice, huge difference in nutrition between the two, whole grain rice has vitamins and minerals, but white rice-without the outer shell, is simply starch with no vitamins or minerals,, which quickly breaks down into sugar in the body, which is very taxing on the body. -Avoid boxed, canned, and frozen (processed) food. Processes destroy the best of the nutritional value of food. Eat things in their natural state. Teas. Research what herbs are good for what and make tea from them, like dandelion root or leaves, or birch bark, and make sure the leaves/barks are organic. Teas are incredibly cleansing, healing, and strengthening to the body's organs and its' systems. People haven't been drinking tea since the beginning of time because it tastes good, although nowadays there are plenty of teas available to mix together to make it taste fabulous. Discover what herbs do for the body, and put the ones together in a tea that fit your needs, and drink and enjoy it every day, you will be amazed. Do just these simple things and it will amaze you how strong and healthy you get and stay all your life. I'm 65, F, started eating right at 38 years old, I swim in rivers and run up mountains, no...

We've continued to visit the Alvord Brain Tumor Center and our visits have been consistent with what we experienced before. Our doctors continue to be great, but there is a huge communication issue.
There are minor issues like waiting for a very long time to get through the call system, or your messages not getting returned.
The big issue that we struggle with is that prescriptions often don't make it to the Pharmacy (we've experienced a roughly 40% failure rate). To make matters worse, the prescriptions they mess up are anti-seizure medications which need to be taken twice daily and missing a dose or two causes seizures, a trip to the ER and months of recovery time.
Our doctor already hand delivers prescriptions to the desk since so many have been lost and they still continue to make mistakes.
My overall experience with the hospital has been fine but the Alvord Brain Tumor Center is awful. The front desk changed the appointments of several patients the day before we were scheduled and didn't call out to let people know the times had changed. This caused chaos for a whole day of appointments. The waiting room was packed with people waiting hours due to scheduling mistakes and employees at the front desk were giggling and snickering talking about their personal lives. To top it all off we heard one of the employees working the front desk say, "I hate this place" and "I just want to get out of here." I feel like an office like where people are dealing with difficult issues should be staffed by people who want to be there and can behave like professionals.
If you work with the hospital feel free...
