Over the past year I have been working on creating a curated ear. Most recently I purchased this custom made beautiful butterfly. A little back story...I fell in love with a piece made by a very popular company. I knew it would be a wait, especially due to the pandemic and supply chain issues, but it was taking FOREVER to arrive. And ultimately they just couldn’t deliver.
However, Zack literally went to the ends of the Earth to find a jeweler who could bring my vision to fruition. I was so pleased with how it turned out. It was even better than the one I had originally chosen and so well worth the wait.
Of course when I went to the shop to pick it up I ended up buying a couple more pieces. They have the most beautiful jewelry so you just can’t help but finding something you like. And they offer all different price points too. My custom made piece was a treat to myself.
I have visited the shop numerous times over the past year and have had a great experience every time. I have been there during busy times and not so busy times and the quality of service is always the same. The counter staff is always so personable and professional.
Most recently I was assisted by Alayna, Shelby and Amber. Those ladies were so helpful in showing me various pieces and making recommendations as to what would look best. They also answered all of my questions and addressed my concerns. For example, I was worried a conch piercing would interfere with wearing earbuds. They assured me it would be fine, and I admit I was a bit skeptical, but they were right. Thank goodness because I can’t give up listening to music!
My other concern was the pain factor. However, Zack is an expert at his craft and I only experienced minor discomfort with each piercing. While the studio is bright and airy where you browse all the beautiful jewelry, the procedures are completed in a more private, sterile environment. It’s probably just as clean (if not cleaner) than an operating room.
I have had a total of 12 piercings in the last year so I can attest that their level of professionalism is top notch. They thoroughly explain each procedure and patiently answer any questions you may have. They also provide you with written detailed instructions each time you have a procedure even if you are a repeat customer like I am.
I also appreciated that they advise you to contact them if you have a question or concern afterwards. And they mean it too! I had an issue with my helix after downsizing. Basically it got angry, turned red and started swelling. At first I was concerned it could be an infection. That’s always your initial thought, right? Well rather than turn to Google and read horror stories on the Internet, I sent a quick message to the studio via Facebook Messenger and Zack responded immediately! Long story short, I made a quick trip back and the post was exchanged for a larger one. And after that and a couple doses of Advil the swelling immediately subsided. And there of course was absolutely no sign of infection. While I certainly didn’t want to have an issue, it truly gave me peace of mind knowing that they care about your well being after the sale and stand behind their work.
I did my homework when choosing a place to go and I’m glad I did. It’s now been 12 months since I first visited their studio and ironically I also have 12 piercings. Trust me when I say Genisys is...
Read moreToday was my second visit to the shop for a piercing. My first was to have my tragus done. Today I decided on a daith while my daughter went for a really cute cartilage piercing. I truly recommend this shop for any piercings you may be considering. Upon entering the shop, you will find it to be light, bright, clean, and airy. The staff is very welcoming, knowledgeable, helpful, professional, and friendly. The selection of jewelry is over the top and stunning! So much to choose from! Today Dana, Ashley, and Alayna were working. They each helped us in numerous ways from talking in great length as to what we may want and where, providing prices, to making recommendations for us. They each put a lot of thought into their suggestions. They really took their time and gave us their full attention. What I like most and appreciate is they aren't pushy at all!! Actually the best piece of advice I received was from Dana, suggesting I wait and think on what I really want jewelry wise and where because I came in with too many ideas and felt even more confused as I looked at all the options. A lot of places might be more concerned about making the sale but she puts a lot of emphasis on being happy and satisfied with your choice because it is an investment. And I followed her advice. I knew I definitely wanted the daith but beyond that I'm going to sleep on it and decide what I truly want next and what type of earring. Alayna did a superb job with our piercings! She took her time and explained what to expect. It's because of their all around excellent customer service that will bring me back and also make me highly recommend Genisys to others! I really look forward to...
Read moreThis shop messed up double piercing my nostrils. They did not mark placement or measure the distance between the holes to ensure that it would be symmetrical. Instead they decided to wing it and now that it's healed, it is definitely not symmetrical. This is bothersome for me when I notice it.
They also tried to upsell me on the jewelry they were piercing me with. I had to ask multiple times for the more affordable options they had. It is as if they did not want me to pick an affordable option. Do not be conned into buying $300 studs for a piercing you plan to change to a ring when it's healed.
Also the shop bribes customers to review them highly. I don't understand why they won't spend the time to accurately place piercing holes, but they are sure to spend time pressuring you to review them highly when you're leaving.
One final note that I have for this shop was in my intake form I selected no photos / I don't want to be used in their social posts yet after my piercing they pressured me into having my photo taken which I uncomfortably agreed to do although I said I didn't want to in my form.
Overall I would not recommend this piercing shop because they don't care about the final product and don't take the time to ensure placement is where it's supposed to be. They pressure their customers to purchase overpriced beginner jewelry and to review them highly even if it is undeserved. And it does not feel as though they respect or care for their customers but only want to make as much money as possible and to get you in and out of there as fast...
