I rarely go to the movies because most theaters are located in big, gaudy cinema complexes in malls -- not my favorite place to spend an intimate Saturday night. And, often the smaller theaters that hark to a bygone era have bygone equipment that doesn't do justice to current movie-making technology. This brand-spanking new two-screen theater in the heart of the Norman Rockwell-like town of Sewickley marries the best of both worlds -- the state-of-the-art equipment of the megaplexes but in a setting that lends itself to dinner followed by a stroll around the corner to a movie. Can't think of too many theaters I've seen anywhere in the country that offer this. We've seen two movies since Tull opened -- one in the larger theater and the most recent in the smaller theater. Super friendly service, locally run, great facility, super clean and the location is perfect. I love that they show new release big budget shows plus the smaller stuff. Just a great space that is well run. Love that before each show an employee stands up in front and introduces the film and says they will stay long enough to make sure the sound and video is working. Also no BS commercials before hand that make the movie run 25 minutes longer. As a non profit you can tell it is well run with the customer in mind all around. Just a few of the normal previews and boom movie starts. A much appreciated throwback to the...
Read moreGreat small family theater! Watched It's A Wonderful Life in b&w for the first time on the big screen with my girlfriend. More reasonable priced popcorn and drinks than the big chain theaters. Friendly staff walked us to the right screen. Good atmosphere. Only thing is you can here the other movie playing across the hall but it isn't too loud. And they have a piano in the lobby that does sound very loud while while being played during the movie. Luckily the person playing it was only playing a short Christmas tune. Please don't play the piano during showings🙂 Great atmosphere. I'll check this place out first next time I want to see...
