My first time trying on wedding dresses was not the experience I hoped for (shows like Say Yes to the Dress really should have a disclaimer as false advertising); I didn't feel like a bride, didn't love any one dress, felt pressure to say yes just because I had all my loved ones in town for that weekend. The BE website and instagram didn't seem to have what I was looking for, but I went in, alone, and was open and honest with Ellie H. about how disheartened I had been so far. She took time to ask what I had liked the most, see photos of things I had tried on and asked what I liked & disliked about each, asked what I want to feel like on my wedding day and asked what my fiancé envisions me in. She spent a thorough amount of time gathering dresses and explaining to me why she picked each one - though I was willing to try on anything at that point. Despite my being there alone, we still went to the pedestal for each dress and she didn't pressure me to get in / out of them at any particular pace. She allowed me the space to voice my likes and dislikes in each dress and pointed out to me when I seemed to feel more comfortable in one / smile more / look at myself IN the dress rather than just look at the dress. When I found the one she didn't pressure me to say yes immediately, she offered to leave me alone for several minutes so I could move around, sit down, do whatever I needed the space and privacy to do. When I did say yes, she encouraged me to call my parents and friends who weren't there but would want to revel in that special moment with me. The selection of bridal gowns was breathtaking, ranging from classic and elegant to modern and chic. I was impressed by the variety of styles available, ensuring that every bride can find her perfect dress.

What sets Bridal Extraordinaire apart is their exceptional customer service. The consultants were patient, attentive, and genuinely invested in helping me find the dress of my dreams. They offered valuable insights without being pushy, making the entire process enjoyable and stress-free. They also took the time to dress up a mannequin in the colors my fiancé is planning to wear so I could get a full visual!

The fitting rooms were spacious and well-lit, providing a comfortable and private space to try on dresses. The attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction were evident throughout my entire visit.

I would encourage everyone to make B|E their first stop if shopping for a wedding gown in the Kansas City area! When you make an appointment at B|E they have you fill out a questionnaire in which they ask about your wedding, your vision for the overall day, and what you envision as your bridal style. Of course the questionnaire is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to your stylist getting to know you and make you feel comfortable. Immediately when I walked into B|E, I felt like they were all waiting for just my appointment (of course, I was only one of many many brides that day). Even though we showed up 10-15 minutes early, they happily ushered me and my guests into a private suite and made sure we were comfortable. I worked with Liz and as soon as I walked in the door I knew she had taken the time to carefully review my answers to their questionnaire. After she made sure my mom, two sisters, and both grandmas were comfortable, she asked a few clarifying questions to make sure she knew what I was looking for. And seriously, each and every dress she pulled for me to try on were exactly my style even if the silhouette was a little unexpected. I could have walked out of there with any of the dresses I tried on and been SO happy. Further, it was clear from my first interaction with Liz that she was not going to pressure me to buy anything that day.
