If youâre in a good mood or simply having a happy, cheerful day, DO NOT SHOP HERE. DONâT EVEN WALK IN!! The ladies that work at this store are SO COLD & VERY RUDE. They have zero interpersonal skills and clearly donât care about their customers. In fact, Iâve been to this particular store multiple times, and Iâve thought the exact same thing every time I leave so Iâm finally writing a review.
I went into Trudyâs today with my quiet, very well behaved 3 year old. She sat in the basket and didnât say more than 10 words the whole time. Sheâs soft spoken, and played a game on my phone the whole time. You get the picture. At one point she looked at me and said, âoh no mommy I need to potty!â We went to the back of the store and didnât see a bathroom, so we went to ask. There were 3 ladies behind the counter, 2 were checking out customers so I asked the lady who was not preoccupied. She glanced at me, then at my daughter and only said, âNo.â Then immediately turned around. It was shockingly rude. Sheâs a 3 year old. She hasnât learned how to hold it for very long yet. And you know what, itâs not about the bathroom. Its fine if a business doesnât have one. My issue was with the way that employee handled the situation. Instead of being cold and passive, she couldâve just as easily said, âoh no! Iâm sorry! We donât have a public bathroom but the nearest one is right next door.â But she chose not to be helpful or kind.
We rushed to find a bathroom and thankfully we did. The folks next door didnât have a public restroom either, but they had a heart. She saw my daughter trying to hold it so like a decent human being, she let us in the back. THATS how you take care of peopleâŚ.. of children!!!
Regretfully, I went back into Trudyâs because my 5 year old is having surgery tomorrow and I wanted to get things that may comfort her. One of the items was a koala stuffed animal with a voice recorder in it. I went to checkout and another employee was ringing me up. (Thank god I thoughtâŚ) This lady looked at me, let out a big breath (visibly annoyed) said, it doesnât have a price tag. I responded, âoh I didnât know that! No biggie Iâll go grab another one.â I knew where they were and it was faster for me to grab it. When I came back and handed the new one to her I said, âyou know what, Iâll just take this one instead. I didnât realize the other one didnât have a tag.â She rolled her eyes, held up the koala with no tag and said, this is the one you brought up here first so you can take this one. Confused I said, âumm no thank you. Iâll take this one because it has a tag.â If you have kids, you know theyâre unpredictable and I wanted the option to bring it back if my 5 year old didnât think it was as cute as I did. The lady responded, visibly very annoyed, and said, âwell if you take this one (holding up the koala with a tag) then I wonât know how much it is if someone else tries to buy the other one. And I didnât take the tag off!â I was surprised by the lack of customer service and friendliness that I almost laughed. I just said, âI would like the one with the tag. Thanks.â She continued having an attitude so I finally commented by letting her know that the employees that work at that store are very rude. Then grabbed my bag and left.
I will never go back!!! Those old women need some training in customer service and being kindâŚ. Especially considering the fact that itâs the holiday season and their attitude is turning customers away. Nobody wants to be around a grinchâŚ. Or give their money to one. So I will not support that store again. There are others in the area and I would recommend those...
   Read moreDO NOT GO TO THIS STORE!!! My daughter and I went to this store and got treated disrespectfully. I was returning something that I had bought, that had came broken. We went up to the cash register, and saw that the same man who atended us last time, was standing there with his coworker. I told them that I needed to return the item and explained why. They rejected my request and said that they couldn't help me since I didnât have a receipt. She repeatedly told me that she couldnât help me, but I wasnât going to give up. I then proceded to step aside and look for the receipt and look for any proof that I had bought it on my phone. My daughter who was standing beside me the whole time was listening to the conversation of the people behind us who were also returning a item without a receipt. They helped them without a problem. I finally found a review and started to tell them about how I was going to give them a bad review. Look at me now. The woman stoped me in my tracks and, the man finally remembered that we had gone there and bought the item. I returned my item and we left. Over all this store is the worst store I have been to my whole life and neither me or my daughter will be...
   Read moreI do not recommend visiting this location. I love the Hallmark brand and have found most stores pleasant however this particular store has RACIST staff. My girlfriend was a target for inappropriate comments, and harassment. Itâs hot in Summer Houston and on this block itâs typical to walk the strip and visit several stores. The older white lady I assume the manager stalked my girlfriend, and made the ridiculous remark to her subordinate, âI knew she was trouble.â just as my girlfriend walked out the door.
