Store is like it's sister stores. The only problem I have when I shop there is that the checkout takes forever. There could be 9 people in line and they don't open another checkout until the line gets down to 3-4. Doesn't make any sense. Also they do not have enough staff working throughout the store who can assist you in finding something in the store. They always have the Bernat yarn I need, and stay on top of bringing out the new line or restocking the old. Thank you for that! My hubby has just cut me off from buying more yarn as I look like a hoarder of it in our closet (really I have told myself not to buy anymore, [we'll see how long that lasts]. My BIGGEST beef actually isn't the store or staff...it's the customers who are waiting in line but do not bother to pull up the coupon on their phone until they are standing in front of the checkout person....then they take forever searching around for it. Maddening. Be proactive people and be organized when you get up to the register. Form of payment ready, coupon ready, budda-boom-budda-bing done! Others shouldn't have to put their lives on hold because you need to hunt and peck or feel like chatting the worker. Read moreWorst experience at a Michaels. I'm not surprised companies like Michaels are going under and filing Chapter 11. Would not be surprised if Michael's follows Joann's Fabrics and Party City the way they are running their business. I went in to shop for my daughter for some stocking stuffers since they sent me a 30% off one full priced item coupon. I picked out a crochet set for her since I thought she would like to learn. When I brought it up to the register the coupon wouldn't scan, she asked me to look at the fine print restrictions with her to see if the kit wasn't included in the promotion. There was nothing listed about the kit. She called the manager over and she said "oh, we consider that a book you see, and books aren't included in the promotion." I am including a picture of the kit. There's no "book". It's a box, with a crochet kit inside. You tell me if you think it looks like a book. It's b.s. and they don't want to honor their coupons, they don't want to sell to customers and make them happy to buy from Michaels. I went onto Amazon when I got home and saw the same kit for WAY less even if they had honored my coupon. Brick and mortars are going to go out of business and maybe they should with this treatment. Read moreHope, the sweet girl who was running the register tonight (12/16) is an angel! I’m a sculpture artist and this month has been extremely grueling trying to get holiday orders out on time. I ran out to michaels tonight to get some essential last minute supplies and forgot my wallet - of course. Luckily I had coupons and rewards to use but I still had a remaining balance of .92¢. Before I could even ask her to remove one of the items she was already covering me, and her attitude about it was so sweet too. Even though it was a small amount of money I was so appreciative for her selflessness. It’s hard to find such compassionate customer service, especially right before closing time during a busy holiday season. This michaels location never fails to meet my needs or expectations, but tonight especially made my heart warm....
