Another Broken Egg is a real A++ diner! I have had several dining experiences here and never disappointed! Everything from the food, the service and the decor of the diner were great! They really always create a nice escape and enjoyable experience! From the outside, this diner seems very unassuming and not what it is on the inside. It looks like a very basic strip mall front and wasn't expecting the inside. I had read other reviews and they all thought that this was a great diner so I thought I would try it too. Walking in, I realized that it is much larger and goes further back than I had expected. The decor is a really great comfortable Texas style diner that is modern yet classic farmhouse style. Although it seemed quite busy inside, we were still seated rather quickly. We were very also quickly greeted by our server who had a wonderful attitude! One of my top great impressions was that from time of ordering food to bring it out to your table was really quick! Nice! We ordered two breakfasts: the Day Starter which came with eggs, a choice of breakfast meat, potatoes and a bread. I opted for the scrambled eggs (no cheese), bacon, diced potatoes and a biscuit. Our other meal was the buttermilk pancakes with blueberries, scrambled eggs and bacon. Served with that was coffee. To start off, the coffee is really excellent here! Not too bitter or too watery. Scrambled eggs came out perfect and really a nice bright yellow letting you know it's fresh eggs. The bacon was really good quality and cooked just right and the potatoes were great without being greasy. The biscuit was a really good consistency with a nice flaky buttery taste to it. Overall you could tell that all of the foods were cooked with fresh butter and not just grease which makes a big difference. The buttermilk pancakes were just the right texture and fluff and the blueberries in it were fresh and plump and not dried out like some other diners. The pancakes are up here was also serve warm which makes a big difference when you're eating pancakes. The staff here was super friendly and very attentive which made a great that you never had to ask for refills/they were just automatically provided. Really good sense of attention and also great attitudes with a great smile. The amount of room inside can serve a lot of people and the tables were kept very nice and clean and well stocked on condiments. The back dining area was actually a really great experience because there's a lot of big windows and plenty of elbow room. The final average cost was about $20 per person. I give Another Broken Egg two very BIG thumbs up for being a great diner! Everything that you would want from a great family dining experience is brought to fruition here. We really had a great experience and will definitely be coming back...
Read moreToday is 11/11/22, Veteran’s Day! I always look forward to having my Veterans breakfast with this restaurant. However today was a terrible experience. The manager seem to be the root of the series of unfortunate events. First, the manager held the door open for three patrons walking in, made eye contact with me while I was walking up and decided he didn’t want to hold the door open. Fine. It’s not his obligation, but it was noted. As I’m eating, the manager and a waitress was standing next to me. The manager was yelling at the waitress about table 90 something. When the waitress replied “That’s not my table”, He got louder and more disrespectful. That conversation should have been handle away from customers. I use to work at a restaurant and I feel for the poor woman. At no point should anyone be yelled at in that way. I think the manager’s energy threw off the whole restaurant’s vibe, because the bartender, Sarah (the only name I can recall) had a bit of a funky attitude, too. The manager seemed to be hovering and micromanaging. So, I’ll Chuck up her bad attitude to him being a jerk. The food was horrible, today. Not something I’ve experienced with them before. The French toast was just bread. I don’t know what was going on in the kitchen, but I would not be surprised if the manager was the cause of the kitchens poor performance. I won’t return until new management. Bad leadership does not get rewarded. I don’t typically make complaints, but the manager’s actions towards the waitress did not sit well with me and I didn’t feel right...
Read moreI’m most upset about being OVERCHARGED by 10$. I tipped a little less than 22% of my total, 50$. I put on the receipt 10$ cash to equal 60$. I was charged 60$ to my card !!! while the WAITRESS KEPT THE 10$ in CASH. Meaning SHE TIPPED HERSELF 20$… SERVICE and FOOD WASNT WORTH 20$. Very upset with the DISHONESTY and INTEGRITY of the waitress KELLEEN. Totally INAPPROPRIATE and UNACCEPTABLE.
We were sat as a TABLE OF 2 (male and female date) and unfortunately SAT next to families of people when it was PLENTY of open seats and spaces… would’ve been nice to be alone.
I ordered COOKIE DOUGH WAFFLES, way TOO SWEET. And cookie dough pieces sprinkled on top. Would’ve been better inside the waffle. 3/10
I got eggs and bacon, BACON was good and crispy 9/10
EGGS tastes like DISH WATER! And smelled like it too. No season or anything. McDonald’s eggs TASTE BETTER than that and that says a lot. Come on guys. Even the salt and pepper packet couldn’t save those eggs. 0/10 and I SHOULDNT HAVE BEEN CHARGED FOR THEM either barely touched them.
my date had CHICKEN AND WAFFLES, I tried the chicken IT WAS BLAND AND DRY! 0/10
We shared SHRIMP AND GRITS, sounded nice TASTES TERRIBLE. We couldn’t put our finger on what was making it taste bad, I think it was the sauce. 0/10.
