I have seen plays at Slidell Little Theater many times. Unfortunately “ELF” fails in all categories for our family. Price even at 20 adult and 17.50 child too expensive for the entertainment value of the show. Music and laughter comedic quality very poor. Our kids were so bored and disenchanted and so were the adults as well. The decor and sets were uninspiring and nothing special. Its almost like lets just put together a Christmas play and make money with little preparation or care. We truly felt short changed and wanted to leave early the 2 hours plus was pure torture. Actors and Directors set designers should be ashamed.
The Slidell Little Theater has for years been entertaining families. This play not representative of other plays I have seen. Save you’re money if this is how the theater is trending I may not be back. Whats happened I do not know but maybe administrators should freshen up those who control productions and play selection. A christmas play should delight and thrill. Besides boredom I also did not appreciate the comments promoting gay lifestyle ie “You want to be my Boyfriend I already have one from one Male to another. “ While not a deal breaker for us. I did not think I should be concerned about sexual comments in a Christmas play. I obviously need to pay better attention. I did not look for rating of this play.

I was scared at first, but you got me out front and got me to dance. And I never thought me of all people would do that, but I did and I loved it. And my friends was having fun. Thank you all for a wonderful show. Oh the memories made that night. ...

The place was clean and the staff is friendly and the place is kind of small I would say it holds less than 200 people or thereabouts. The concession stand was pretty good. I bought a Coke a cup of coffee and a Twix bar for under $5. They also sold alcoholic beverages. It was practically a mini bar but it had Abita Amber Michelob Ultra Blue Moon Budweiser and a few other specialty beers well as hard liquor and they were all reasonably priced I believe. Bathrooms were clean. it's a good place...
