Great American Cookies — Local services in Slidell

Dear Corporate, Today was my birthday and I made the fatal mistake of going here to celebrate. I went in with 2 of my friends and immediately the rude staff members started looking at me weirdly. I went to the counter and ordered a cookie and cream milkshake. Then the staff member named Kloe asked my friends if I had autism (I am on the spectrum) and proceeded to laugh when they told her I did. As she was making the shakes she was making insensitive jokes and comments to me such as “Did he forget his headphones?”. I felt extremely embarrassed and uncomfortable and couldn’t wait to leave. When the shakes were finished I asked for a green straw and then proceeded to say “Wow! He’s not only autistic but he’s colorblind too.” I ran out of the establishment with tears in my eyes. Listen, I don’t write a lot of reviews. But I had to take the time out to say that the cookie cake I recently ordered from this location was literally the best cookie cake I have ever had in my entire life. It was baked fresh and the icing was so soft. It was huge hit at a gathering for my relatives and I must say when I bit into it I felt like I was transported to a tropical island instantly. I truly felt at peace and wanted to shed a tear because it was that good, I will be ordering from this location soon so I hope It will taste just as good. Ordered a cake. Huge cake, name smashed at the bottom of the cake on top the border. Asked why, response, "I don't know I didn't make it." No apologies. It's not always about the mistake, the attitude is garbage. Catherine is NOT human friendly. She calls the manager, whom I spoke to.
