I’ve been a Panera fan for years, but I think my support ended this week. On Saturday 04/06/24, I used the app to order a large hot chai latte and a pick two meal for my daughter. I arrived at the store a few minutes early and parked until I received notification that my order was ready for pickup. I got in the drive thru, said my name, then waited behind another car for over 10 minutes at the window. This was longer than I’ve ever waited before at Panera. When I finally got my order, the latte was cold and sandwich was lukewarm. By this time, I’m annoyed because now I have to go in so they can remake my latte and I’m in a hurry, which is why I ordered in the app for pick up in the first place. When I go inside I tell the manager my latte is cold. She is unapologetic and offers to remake it in a tone that suggests she’s doing me a favor. She gets someone else to remake it and it’s a small. I said, “I paid for a large”. The employee asks the manager what to do (what do you mean, I want what I paid for!) and they have a conversation I can’t hear. By now I’m really aggravated but they remake it again and finally get it right. I left a review in the email that was sent after my visit and expressed my dissatisfaction. The manager Lily offered for me to come back so they can remake my order. I went back on Monday, April 8 and they remade my order; it was fine. I also ordered more food, but my mistake was not opening the bag until I got home. My chicken and avocado BLT had no “B” and a sprinkle of chicken confetti, and my Mexican corn chowder had no tortilla chip toppings. I did not bother going all the way back to have them remake it, I’m just done. Panera is too expensive for me to keep going and being disappointed every time. Panera does have the best chai latte, so I’ll go when I can get a...
Read moreI was recently dining in at this panera and not satisfied. The person who took my order was scrutinizing the older man in front of me for not donating to St Jude and was proceeding to raise her voice at him when he was just trying to explain his order. She seemed very irritated by his presence and also by mine as well. When I got up there to place my order I was greeted with eye rolls and an awful tone of voice. She was aggressively taping the screen and seemed irritated at any word I said. I then asked for a water cup which she then proceeded to practically throw towards me causing the cups to spill. Then I waited about 10 minutes for my food to be ready and when it was the person who was putting my food out yelled “Ava your food is done” in a very irritable and obnoxious tone of voice. This was not at all a comforting environment and I felt very uncomfortable. I am posting this for educational purposes. As someone who works in customer service as well I would expect my coworkers to great others joyously and with a passion. No customer should feel like they are a problem. I would like to talk to your team about how to properly treat customers and how they should be talked to and treated, especially for...
Read morethis place is awful. i used to work there and i can tell you that its one of the worst places ive ever worked. they heavily overwork their employees, and pay them next to nothing, and the manager loves favoritism and hypocrisy. the manager makes an average work day feel like an eternity in hell. good employees are worked half to death while being held to the highest standards, with lesser performing employees not getting reprimand at all and being held to absolutely no standard, but instead having the good employees go around picking up after them. the dish room, kitchen, bathrooms, and dining room are disgusting. the dish room constantly smells like a rotting corpse (with all your "clean" dishes sitting on dirty carts) from the pooling water that is left to sit on the floor for days before being mopped up. its so bad it would immediately give me a headache upon walking in. o truly could go on, but if you care about your health, and the treatment of good, hard working people in the work place, id avoid this location. there are better places to eat where youll probably get a better bang...
