There is no admission fee. The park contains trails for pedestrians and trails for bicycles, all well marked and with no steep grades. Benches were located throughout the walking trails, which meandered through woods, by marshes, and on boardwalks over waterways. Informative signs containing QR codes were posted which identified trees and birds of the trail. A portion of the trail allows for foot access to the famous Smithfield Station. A lovely children's play area and picnic tables were located under a canopy of trees near the main parking lot. It's a beautiful place to spend a morning or afternoon.

My wife and I enjoyed a leisurely walk on this trail today. The path is wide and well maintained. There's a few options for which path to take. We chose the white and purple markers...about 2.5 miles. We heard lots of different birds if you're a bird watcher. Beautiful overlooks along the path, including benches to take a quick rest. Plenty of parking and there's a few porta-potties next to the parking lot.

I love walking my dogs here. We live really close by and I work from home. So on nice days I take them on the trails. My favorite one is the one that gives you nice views of the water. It is so relaxing. Lots of people seem to enjoy walking and taking their dogs here. It's my favorite local spot since moving here a few months ago.
