If you were wondering why they might call it wipeout beach - I’m here to tell you why (in my personal experience). I slipped on the rocks going down to the beach and hard fell similarly to how someone might slip on a banana peel. Lol. So be mindful of the climb down to the beach. Rocks are slippery with the sand. Also if there are lots of seaweed it tends to smell a bit stinky. Otherwise beautiful beach. Nice spot to relax.

Lesser-known spot, tourist crowds tend to end up at the La Jolla Cove. Not too far from there, one could enjoy both and combine in a quiet walk. Natural beauty, rocky shoreline, dramatic tide pools, breathtaking views. Not to mention that the Museum of Contemporary Art is also around the corner.

Breathing taking views of the ocean. Really clean nice beach. Water is so clear in this area. Get spot to cool off and see the sun set. We spent hours here watching the waves collecting shells, and watching people play in the surf. Parking was few . But we found...
