Ok so Iâll preface by saying this- I was kind of proud of them this past two years. They started hiring some people who were extremely kind, and welcoming and their staff has been very diverse compared to when they first opened here. Itâs come a long way.
Last night shot down all my expectations of them, I am assuming this person is a new hire from her behavior but this is certainly more of a Brandy Melville Attitude and I left extremely shocked and humiliated.
I asked about a bathing suit price, they had an assosiates grab the manniquein to pull off the bathing suit from behind the person at the cashieer who was ringing me up. This was a couple minutes before closing and the person who grabbed it was looking at it, the others answered my question about cost and I said yes that I would like it.
The girl started commenting âThis was $30,â there wasnât a response to that, im getting my card out, I heard the other employee say âok you have give it to her,â and she said something along the lines of âoh ok,â they joked that she had liked it, then the girl hands the size S bikini to my cashieer and a looks at me in the eyes, then walks two feet away to the other counter. She states âDoes she know what size the bottoms are?â The cashieer and I kind of gave each other a look and I think we were thinking the same thing-like no she wouldnât be implying that-The the cashieer said to me âoh maybe the bottoms are a large since this is a small,â there was silence and i heard the girl start to say âThese bottoms are a small does she know that,â I kcut her off to say âI really donât care the size I like them I chose them.â At this point I am flustered, I wanted to leave, I held back saying anything to them.
It was a matching set. Obviously the whole bathing suit was a Small and I knew the size and regardless I would fit them. But this was extremely unprofessional, uncomfortable, and awkward. I have never been so blantly called fat and humiliated by someone, and it was the third person behavior that really got to me, I was literally next to her. She clearly was trying to manipulate my feelings and try to get me to not want it, I really cannot believe this happened.
Iâm a size 4-6 with a large butt and I certainly can fit into a small, and especially know Iâll look good doing so. But I sincerely wish the company luck for keeping on a person like this, who will inevitably bring this environment backwards in times with gaslighting customers into not choosing clothing they feel beautiful in for personal gain. I hope the little girls coming into the store have better experiences because a GIRLS girl is a much better...
Read moreI normally have no hard feelings with any clothing stores, but this experience I just had to share. I brought in 8 large bags of clothes that were in good condition, some barely worn. All of the brands were stated on their website that they accepted. There were around three workers with one being the manager. The manager was nice enough to tell us how to fill an application out to sell the clothes but one of the other girls started saying, "Oh, you're actually deciding to come out and help sort the clothes." That was the first strike. The parking lot was empty so I assumed they weren't very busy so maybe the girls were just lazy. They said the sorting and checking would probably take around an hour, so I left. But around 15 minutes later I got a text saying that I could come back, found that they only picked out 5 items for $16.80. Five items I repeat. The excuse they gave me was that the items were "not in style" even though the ones they picked were the ones that were older. I don't even care about the price, just that I had to lift those 8 bags to and from the establishment and have 5 items taken out, with the rest of the bags clearly unopened just makes me mad. If you are a store that buys used clothing, then you should at least make an effort to check. Only came here because of a friend recommendation, would give negative stars if I could. I donated all those 8 bags to...

As for donating, the experience could be better, but it also could be worse. I will say theyâve become more reasonable with their selections recently. And I appreciate how they are open about what theyâre looking for, as well as the fact that they take the time to look through your items, instead of rushing through the process. But they can be a bit inconsistent sometimes. For example, Iâve been visiting the store a lot recently, as Iâm trying to get rid of clothes before I move to college. And every time, they always pick something that they rejected from my last visit. So I never really know what to expect. It could depend on the preference of the employee, but it could also depend on the fact that demand is constantly changing. Who knows? The amount I usually receive back from my donations is nothing above average for a thrift/consignment store, so just keep that in mind. But the only issue I have with this place is that sometimes Iâll see clothes on the rack that the exact same brand or style as clothes that theyâd reject from me. Why tell me that theyâre not going to sell when thatâs not true? But besides that, I would still recommend donating to this store if you live close. (2.5/5)
