I recently got my Echo 1 USA Platinum Edition gun fixed there and had motor replaced aswell as my gun cleaned out. Took it home fired 1 mid-cap magazine and it shot flawlessly then a couple days later I fired abt 2 mid-cap magazines and the gun kinda just stopped working and is making a humming/rattling sound whenever you fire it which is kinda lame cuz I jus had them fix it. I'm thinking the battery or motor might be to powerful for the 5 year old gearbox lol, but other than that they are always super helpful and have always answered all of my questions. They also gave me a ajax customs sticker and a lancer tactical patch which r cool. They also helped me with decided a really nice flashlight and laser to put on the bottom of my Canik TP9.

I am looking into getting into airsoft, they were very helpful, great service and friendly staff Update: first time I came to the shop was three years ago, I’ve been coming back ever since, I’ve gotten the majority of my gear and disposables here, BB’s, Mags, and everything for the various kits and guns I’ve gone through over the years, I’ve never had anything but the best service, what an upstanding crew!!!! Gee and Ajax are Awsome and Gee has been helping me sense day one!!!!

Honestly the slc shop has amazing customer service. First time I went in there I didn’t know much about airsoft and quickly was welcomed by the legend , “RAD” super cool guy , I bought my first gun . The H8R , couple days later spent a lot of time in the Layton store and talked to Mitch . Super cool guy also and my girlfriend wanted to learn how to play , so he let her shoot targets and we found her something she liked . Spend all your money here .. it’s worth it 🙏🏽😈

DON'T USE THEIR SMITHING! I've gone here a few times. The customer service is hit and miss. My first visits I was treated as expendable. My last few visits I was treated as a friend. My last visit I took my gun in to be upgraded. I wanted them to get it to 450 fps (add new spring, maybe new cylinder, whatever it takes), add an R-hop, extend my inner barrel to the end of my suppressor (put an inner barrel that is about 4 more inches in length) tune it up, and I specifically said "tune up as in both making it quieter and running smoothly, as well as getting it to the point that it can have a 6 inch grouping at 100 feet, preferably 150 feet like a lot of your boe guns do". They quoted me 160, and 10 business days tops. Bout 8 business days later I get a call that they broke my motor, and had replaced it. I asked them how the replacement one compared to mine. They said "Well, it's not as good as your but it should handle the 450fps for a while" I said "fix my motor then" they said "well we will need to order a new pinion (something) and it'll be another 15-20 bucks, and take at least a week to get it in" I was like "okay whatever just do it. And you got everything else done? The 450fps, the inner barrel, the r-hop, etc?" they said yes. So about two weeks later I have to call them and ask if it's done, they say yes. I go pick it up, it costs 175, and take it home.

About 5 days later is my first game with my upgraded gun. First of it was not fine tuned. It was quieter meaning the gears were shimmed better and such, but it had about a 5 FOOT grouping at 100 feet. After playing with the hop up for a while, the best I can do is about a 18-24 inch grouping at 100 feet, which is horrible. I take the suppressor off and notice that it's my old inner barrel in their, not a new one. I look at the hop up... it's still my old hop up, not an R-hop. the ONLY thing they did out of that list was get the fps to 450, and I haven't chronod it yet. I know it's over 400, but for all I know it could e 430-480. With them I wouldn't be surprised if it was off. So for 175$ I got about 75$ worth of stuff taken care off. After how long it took, and the cluster F**k from them, I decided to not bother going back, and never return again.

I did some digging among my team and other players. It seems that anyone with an Ajax custom gun loves it. However anyone that has a different gun and pays to upgrade it, it's about 60% similar experiences. One of my friends got his gun the day before the game, and that game (day after he got it from TAS) the piston teeth stripped.... Only about 200 rounds and the piston teeth stripped. Idk what upgrades they did, but you think ANY airsmith would be smart enough to know upgraded fps might notice a weak piston, much less a "professional" airsmith.

Also about 6 games after I got my gun (maybe 5000 rounds later) a gear completely stripped in my gun. So I took it to weapon blender and gave them that to repair, as well as the list "increase accuracy, tune it up so I don't have to do the hop up myself, etc) They quoted me at 80$ and two weeks tops. I'll see how that goes. Bottom line if you want a brand gun or prebuilt gun, and or gear, fine go to TAS. but do NOT, I repeat, DO NOT use their upgrade services, unless you want to get screwed to the point you think they should...

Always around to help in a pinch. Shop local!

Edit: used to be five stars however this review was "bought" for a one time miniscule discount on purchases. Many other reviews are likely for the same discount. This is now an honest review of the locations from someone who has spent several hundreds of dollars if not thousands, and formerly "sponsored" by tactical airsoft supply. (If the two free hats really counts as a sponsorship.) The reason i am changing my review from a five star to a one star is not only have i spent several hundreds of dollars at both this location and the layton location and have not recieved the service one should be getting when spending hundreds everywhere else.

My personal exmaple of this is when i purchased a BRAND NEW, airsoft gun with several high end modifications to be installed by their "tech". I had requested and paid over one thousand dollars for my airsoft gun to be ready for a large event the following weekend. I waited THREE MONTHS. I found out from the company that manufactures the higher end upgrades i wanted in my gun that the delay was caused by tactical airsoft supply chosing to delay the order that had my parts in it for the three months i was waiting. These parts could have been shipped the day i paid for my airsoft gun and upgrades according to polarstar representatives.

Employees and mangment are rude, have a general lack of knowledge about their own product, product availability, lead times, and general customer service. Employees i formerly associated with i now no longer do due to toxicity and alwas being hounded to "come in the stoe and buy something" while these same employees are taking the airsoft guns of my friends that bring them in for repairs, and break their guns further and in turn charge for the repairs of the damages they cause.

If you live in utah, DO NOT, I REPEAT ABSOLUTELY DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM TACTICAL AIRSOFT SUPPLY in their salt lake or layton locations. And if you do be careful what you say especially if you are not on a team that caters to tactical airsoft supply You may have a worse experience than i have had and seen happen to my associates and teammates

If you airsoft in utah, literally walmart will have and if walmart doesnt have it for a better price, The website evike.com will have better prices as tactical airsoft supply orders a majority of their stock from them and marks it up tremendously.

Didnt want to read this review? Here it is in short Tactucal airsoft supply does not serve its clients at the highest level, despite charging the highest dollar for their sub...

The first time I visited Tactical Airsoft Supply I was pleasantly surprised to see a local airsoft shop. I prefer to spend my money in my community instead of sending it out of state or overseas. I purchased a mid-range gun from TAS and was quite satisfied with the purchase as well as with the customer service.

HOWEVER, subsequent visits quickly changed my mind. On my second visit to the store I met the store owner. After a brief conversation I felt belittled and humiliated. The store owner acted as if my opinion was worthless and even asked me at one point, "Are you stupid or something?" I have never had a worse shopping experience in my life. Despite my previous experience I decided to give TAS another chance. On my next few visits to TAS I was simply ignored while the workers chit-chatted about the airsoft game the week before and their guns and their gear. As bad as this was, it was a big improvement over my meeting the store owner. On my last and final visit to TAS, I took in a gun to be upgraded. The store owner was in and, for a second time, continued to talk down to me and act as if I knew nothing about airsoft guns. After being talked into an upgrade I didn't want, I took my gun home to have it break after firing less than 200 shots. My gun has sat in the closet ever since as I have decide to cut my losses and run. My overall impression of TAS is that they have a fairly good knowledge of guns and gear. They have a poor selection and, therefore, try and talk you into lesser quality items. Their prices are slightly higher than ordering online. Customer service was some of the worst I have ever seen, anywhere. The owner and workers seemed to care more about themselves than actually providing a quality product or service. I will give TAS credit for their marketing. They talk themselves up very well. Even I was suckered into believing their false claims. If you absolutely need an item before a deadline, I would recommend shopping at TAS. Otherwise, don't fall victim to their hype as I did, I just...
