It would appear there may be a concerted effort to review bomb a perfectly quaint and nicely finished property on the east side of the Marina. Being the first new Northern Nevada casino in over 20 years can't be easy, and I understand the process was made quite difficult, or at least not helped by the involvement of some established players in stalling the project for many years. Now that Legends Bay is here and the asphalt is dry, it's a relief to this frequent Marina walker and lover of drink. It's well-designed and impressively implemented within the existing Legends format, with a convenient entry near the theater for those midnight weekend movie releases when you've got a little gas left in the tank and a penchant for anytime booze at 4600ft while discussing the lack of nuance in that latest Marvel rehash. My first restaurant experience wasn't great, but I've worked in service and know these things take time to season, even if the food was a bit too ambitiously seasoned. Update July 2023: Service and food at LB Grill has improved. It's still not quite Cafe Milano but it's solid fare. I've yet to try Duke's but it's on my radar. The craft bar boasts a nice local selection with occasional takeovers from local breweries, and the slots do a faithful and bright, high resolution representation of the oldies from IGT (you know, the ones with remarkable consistency, staying power, and the ability to assault the wallet) along with many new releases we've yet to create memes about. I still love the Village next door, but I think the fake lake and Reno/Sparks can more than accommodate this sparkly newcomer, especially considering the growth of our population waistline these last couple of bullish real estate years. The way I see it, Legends Bay Casino is an emblematic nod toward the many beneficiaries of this latest boom cycle, a nudge and a wink when you're looking for a place to drop a dollar. Remember, we enjoy zero state income tax, largely because of these wonderfully indulgent and hedonistic pleasure palaces. Even if they're not built on winners, we all still sorta win, don't we?

Life is strange, and most recently got even stranger for me when I was one of the luckier ones and found myself near the front of the line as Legends Bay Casino threw the doors open for business. I felt like I was teleported to the casino floor of one of the billion dollar properties in Vegas. It. Was. Epic. Obviously so much thought and effort and class and massive investment went into that place. Yeah, definitely a little rough getting all of the systems going. So give it a day or two... it seemed like thousands of people descended all at once on the slots and tables and cocktail waitresses and cool food trucks, and they were overwhelmed. I felt so conflicted because I had a blast inside while people were queued up in lines still outside, but that'll all settle down as this place figures out its groove. Bottom line, I can't believe a place this cool is right here. One less reason to leave the Reno area. And definitely a place to go... a lot.

CHECK YOUR TICKETS! This is the worst thing I have ever seen in a casino, I feel like it can't be legal... I argued for minutes about how my ticket I put into the cashier machine was different from what I paid. Turns out I was right and they never acknowledged that. They gave me a $0.25 voucher to cover my nearest dollar. See my pictures and you'll see the difference. So, the casino pays $1 cash less and prints a larger ticket that can only be used in their casino, rather than paying the $1 and printing a substantially smaller ticket. I told them about this and they didn't even care to look into their machine. It's good to mention that 3 employees were standing around the machine, talking, before I walked up and put my ticket in to cash out. This isn't okay.

I was playing this Wolf Run for 3 hours, betting 1.60 per spin. Idk how many spins I did, probably couple of thousand. And never saw a win more than 50 bucks. I played this game many times in a dozen casinos. Yeah, you win some, you lose some. But this game has guaranteed wilds, and if you give it enough time it HAS TO give back more than 15x the bet at some point. I hit a bonus, where out of 5 reels - 3 must be wild for 21 spins, thats a guarantee. That's the whole point of the bonus! Yet even in 21 bonus spins with 3 reels out of 5 were "wild", it still never paid more than 15x. Let alone spins without guranteed wilds. And I drove to Nevada specifically so I can play with peace of mind. Peace of mind my a.....

Super cool little casino. It's right in the outlet mall and close to everything. There are 2 hotels next door if you want to stay the weekend. They even have a Circa sports book. It's not as big as circa in downtown las vegas but it's still a great place to watch and bet on sports.

Favorite local spot. Great staff! Love eating and playing here and you have an outlet mall right behind you with a movie theater and plenty of great restaurants to choose from.
