Burrito Bandito — Restaurant in Sparks

Stopped by here on a whim after deciding big burritos sounded good, and I personally don't think Chipotle is very good for the price you pay.

It's a similar style burrito line, where you start by asking for what you want, meat, beans, extras, and then pay at the end. I decided to just go burrito bowls for me and the wife, but the portions were still great for the price. Everything looked/tasted freshly made, and the options available do give you an opportunity to walk away with something that's pretty healthy. The employee who helped me was also incredibly courteous and gave this location a good impression of service.

Now, onto taste: was it the best tasting burrito bowl I ever had? No, maybe not, but it was still very good. 4/5 for me on taste. At the very least, it's close to what I would make at home, and I make mexican food all the time. Someone mentioned the flavor was slightly off somewhere, and I think it was either that the refried beans had a garlicky taste or the rice didn't have enough taste to match the rest of the ingredients. Still, I will gladly come back here in the future.

Someone complained about decor being weird or oddly colored, which I don't disagree with, but... who goes to a burrito place for decor and determines they'll never come back again because of that? It's all functional, and you can still take great food to go if you stop by here.

I definitely recommend everyone at least give this place a try once if you want a well-priced portion...

Came in for a late lunch/dinner, ordered a bowl with two meats; steak and chicken with rice, black beans, pico de gallop, little shredded cheese, sour cream, cilantro, and avocado… Wow! Food was great! These guys have all the sauces, seriously. I took a risk knowing I’m not into very spicy sauces and tried the honey spice and to my surprise it mixed well with my food! I’m guilty of eating this entire bowl. Not Sorry! lol

They have a cool display for any sauce you can think of, I believe they are sold there to satisfy your taste buds. Also, they have painted pictures all over, very colorful and welcoming place.

This little joint makes great food and the cool part, whatever they can make on a burrito they can also place on a bowl which was my case. No fuss, just your style of what you want 100%.

You won't leave hungry. This burrito is the size of my forearm, and I'm a healthy 6'1". Even our Children's Burrito was the size of most other places normal burritos. It is a healthy portion for sure.

The ingredients are great, too. We all had something different on our trip and all liked it. You can mix and match to make it something you will enjoy. I particularly loved the avocados and jalapenos, and its included in the price!

Lastly, there was a phenomenal selection of salsas and hot sauces. Some are available to use and others are available in bottles for purchase. It's the first place I've seen the full line of Dave's Gormet Insanity.

All in all, a great joint. I am disappointed I didn't go sooner. I will be returning,...
