I had purchased a bedroom set for my son on April of 2021. I was told that the furniture would not be available until June 2021. The date they stated I would receive the furniture came and went and I still did not have the full set. The date they claimed I would receive my furniture was July 6th. The delivery happened on this date, but I was missing one piece of furniture. After calling the company, they stated that I had never ordered any chess. I specifically told them that I had and I thought the price for the set included the chess. I argued back and forth with a service representative and then with a manager and all he said was that the service representative would have made it clear what was all included. I then tried calling customer care and I also did not get successful results. I told them that I no longer wanted the furniture, as I was mislead on everything I was supposed to receive and also because the furniture I purchased had lots of defects. I also told them that I wanted my furniture replaced ASAP as my son was now without a bedroom set, as we expected the one we had ordered to be here and in one piece. The manager stated they could not take the furniture back, as it was already in my home and had been more than 3 days. I have been given the run around since I have received this furniture and they are constantly sending people to my house to inspect the furniture to justify what I stated. I am very disappointed that I'm spending over 2000 for furniture that clearly shows poor quality. I don't feel that I have gotten my money's worth and for this reason, I am placing a complaint against Bob's furniture store. Also, the furniture that needs replacing will not arrive until September, which in my opinion, I should not have to wait for this any longer. For being a first time shopper there, I believe they have had poor customer service. Also, they are conniving, as they tried offering me a cheap discount to stay with the defective furniture.
I see every review has the same response. That tells me it's a bot responding. Who ever is Bob's discount furniture owner you should take the time and actually read some of these reviews to better satisfy...
Read moreDoesn't matter how nice the reps in store are to the client, their job is to "sell" Bobs faulty furniture. If you purchase extra warranty and experience breakage they will express they will fix out of "courtesy". Again, even of you've bought the 5yr warranty. They mention "courtesy" to not seem respondible for garbage material, yet make you feel at fault for the damages. An $800 storage bedframe along with the additional $200 warranty, should not be breaking time and time again. Purchased this storage bed and the lip were the bedrails are drilled in, that hold your mattress up, continue to break off the side bed panels. After three breaks and repairs, the fourth time was being charged for parts and service. There is no reason for a bedframe to continue breaking in the same manner, only reason is the wood is not reliable or even repaired correctly when serviced. The service technicians come to your home, take a picture, leave to return weeks later, to glue and stich/drill up the furnitires faulty wood. Weeks later, meaning we were left to sleep any were but our bed until their joke of repair was completed. If the same problem continues, the integrity of the wood, due to the unprofessional stitch up jobs, is definitely not worth the money spent on the furniture. When you call to file a claim n seak resolution, you are told its not a manufacturer defect, in other words you are at fault for the breakage and you must pay out of pocket for service repair and parts....top it off, you are given attitude and then hung up on by the customer service representatives. Please do yourself a favor and DO NOT PURCHASE AT BOBS DISCOUNT FURNITURE!! The prices are rediculously high and the integrity of the furnitures material are NOT WORTH THE CONSTANT TROUBLE. I've attached pictures to share my reaccuring issues with Bobs Discount Furniture storage bed. Their furnishing is too OVERPRICED to be as faulty as it is. This is my good dead of the day...save yourself, save your money DO NOT SHOP AT BOBS...
Read moreWow.....I remember Bob's when he was selling Water Beds in Connecticut and his old marketing slogan was "Come On Down!" So yesterday my wife and I decided we would head over to Bob's to buy new furniture for both our living room AND the man cave.
We were not in the store 20 seconds and I was ready to walk out. We were immediately greeted by a saleswoman named "Yvonne" A very Big and Tall overpowering person.. After she got right up in my way, I told her nicely that we were just looking and that I would come to her with questions. That was not good enough for her, as I walked away, she made a snide remark to wife that I must have had a "rough night". Who is she to make judgment on me because I didn't want to sit there a talk with her, Honestly is was like walking into a Used Car Dealership. Sales people all sitting around, waiting for customers to walk in and the finance guys sitting in the back of the store at the desks. As we walked around, Yvonne was creeping around every corner and then when she had a chance to pounce, she walked right by me and tried to start another conversation with my wife. Again, does she not understand that's not how to obtain a sale? It really was not a great visit., there is no way I would buy any furniture here, we were easily going to buy up to $4,000 worth of furniture this morning, But Yvonne's attitude and poor judgment, along with her lack of knowledge of what good customer service is, cost the store a decent sale.
