I was over seeing an install of a seniors citizens security camera system install that was needed to capture next door drunken, abusive neighbor couple who harassed, attacked and stole property from the elder buyer.
First appt: GS sent out inexperienced hardwire techs; had to schedule another appt. Multiple appts later and the system is still not working properly. At the last appt. to address the non-working night vision camera the GS was a no show. One excuse after another as to why they are not finished or correctly working. From day one cameras had snow flury on the screen on the night vision, can't see much of anything at night due to this. Then one camera has no night vision at all. At least 6 trips to the store because Best Buy does not answer the phones, it goes to a call center. Dozens of calls and text to GS techs cell phones and 95% of time no call back. Last few calls or text to installer and supervisor went unanswered as well. Install tech said he would research poor quality security camera system since Night Owl customer service does not respond either, even after sending requested photos and video of problems. Missing jewelry and smart mouth remark from installer over the accusations. Holes left in siding and not filled, and those that got filled were filled with non-paintable silicone! Now have to pay to have that fixed so the house can be painted. Almost $1000 or more for a *hitty system that does not work correctly and because of said camera issues the drunken neighbor that is abusive and harasses seniors and the elderly was not caught on camera when he shined his laser pointer light in my eyes when I was asked over to check the outdoor motion detector light, blinding me and causing me to fall that resulted in a broken ankle and leg! 10 months later and still no repair to the security camera system after dozens of in store visits to store manager, phone calls and text. This doesnt even cover the calls and in store visits by the buyer of the system....

I bought an Acer monitor less than 1 year ago from the best buy in Springfield. Recently the monitor stopped working and after many attempts to troubleshoot it was concluded to be a hardware malfunction.
I thought, no problem I have proof of purchase via emailed receipt and I even had warranty info based on the Serial number. I brought the monitor in to best buy and had my receipt and warranty info ready. It was about 45 minutes before closing and I had a bad gut feeling when the man told me he could help who's next. He seemed to have the impatient attitude one would get when they're trying to go home. I understand the feeling however you still are being paid and have the reputation of the company to uphold.
Without hesitation he pulled up my info and said there is nothing he can do. I asked to show him the receipt I had ready, however he instantly declined to even look at it and told me that doesnt matter. He said I'll have to contact Acer and then started to put my monitor back in the box.
I was actually a little stunned at how fast he declined my concerns and fast he was trying to get me out of there.
The problem in the end is that in order for me to replace a product that I bought from their store with the warranty in hand I'll have to pay to ship it and wait 3 weeks for the manufacturer to review it and give me an answer.
I've spent quite a bit of money at this store and I've always been pleased with the brands they provide. However the customer support regarding warranties is extremely lacking. I'm further convinced buying in store is more and more a waste of money and time.

Read moreI took my laptop in to get my headphone jack fixed. It wasn't reconizing that my headphone were plugged in. They told me that my laptop needed to be sent out to be fixed. The guy made me sign a paper without explaining what I'm signing for. 2 Weeks later my laptop is ready to be picked up. When picking up my laptop they had me turn it on my laptop to make sure everything was working. Well when turning on my laptop nothing looked right and when I asked why they said that my whole motherboard was replaced and my whole laptop was wiped! The guy didn't tell me when signing the paper that my data was going to be wiped. I lost so many unreplaceable photos and school projects. I talked to there supervisor and they didn't do much to help. 2 weeks later I noticed that my hinge was popping up and my screen was splitting from the base. I took it too get it looked at by a family friend and he said that geek squad took apart my screen and broke it. He said that there are screws missing and they didn't put the base back on right. So I took it back into geek squad and they said that they can't fix it and that it needs to be sent out again. But I would have to pay for this because it's not covered under my membership. After everything I've been threw the only thing they did for me was they gave me 3 years of Internet security for free. They told me that I basically have a lemon laptop and better off getting a new one. I'm so fed...
