I'm very glad these reviews are looked at and responded to. That does at least shows some level of care to what your clients think. However, in looking at the responses on here, your either full of it, or completely different folks are responding than are in the store. I have gone in Just for Him for years and bought everything from $300 hats to $100 canes, $100 knives, globes, and I happen to collect Retro 51 pens, which are usually $50/pen. Not to mention the hundreds of dollars over the years for grooming products. Now, I have never, not once left the store feeling valued in any way. Maybe 10 years ago when I bought a hat, a brand of which you no longer carry. Last week, I went in to purchase several pens and look for some to tell my family about for Christmas gifts. I was so aggravated with the usual bearded jerk (nothing against beards, I have one) that always makes me feel like an inconvenience, that I left without buying even 1 pen. I would best describe your employees for the last 5 years as, entitled jerks. Your store of over expensive "toys", just isn't that special. I instead went home and spent $600 on a pen and refill order to another men's store and am having it shipped. I would so much rather spend my money and time with local folks who appreciate the business, your rude, male prima donna's just aren't those people. Oh, not to mention that at one time I came and parked in the handicapped spot in front of the store. An employee coming in with his lunch, again, some jerk with a beard, stood in front of my car and stared at me with a look of distain. I was so proud to put my handicapped tag up while he was giving me his "look". Did I mention, I'm a man with a cane and dying of heart failure. At this point, I'm glad to go...
Read moreWent in yesterday to get my husband some beard oil. We have shopped at Just For Him several times over the years and have never had a bad experience. Everyone has always been nice and helpful. The man who greeted us yesterday was rude and made me instantly feel like I was not welcome in the store. He told me right off the bat that they were closing at 6pm (it was only 5:10pm when I walked in) and then asked me what I needed. Just like that. "What do you need?" I should have turned and walked out then. After I told him that I was looking for beard oil, he pointed at the sample shelf so I went over to look. Then I went over to the actual beard oils on the table and because I had not seen a sample of the beard oil I was looking for, I opened a bottle (btw these bottles are NOT sealed in any fashion) just to smell the product. He quietly but harshly said "No, don't open.... Now give it to me! I have to take that out of stock now." I have contacted the company for these beard oils personally and will take my business elsewhere from now on. To the man in the store: your time is not more precious than anyone else's and while I understand you had plans after closing, I also understand that the owner has a business to run. Speaking as a retail establishment manager, I would be appalled if one of my employees treated a customer like you treated me yesterday. Hope that BBQ at your house...
Read moreTo be blunt, there are just no stores which have men's items like this store does. The have nice hats, grooming gear, and lot of random other things.
The store smells strongly of tobacco, very strongly, so if you're sensitive to that, I recommend avoid this place. I have had 3 family members die within the past 6 years of lung cancer from smoking, and I have never been in a building with such a scent.
I also purchased some cigars from this place to give a better review. Obviously a review if the cigar itself is not one of the store so I'll refrain from that, but, I asked for some advice. My friend and I were not smokers and don't plan to be, but a celebratory cigar was something we planned for. The lady had very detailed knowledge of the cigars and recommend one which was excellent for us. They sadly didn't cut it and we didn't have anything to cut it so we were heathens and bit off the end to smoke it. I only note not cutting the end because they appearently offer it, and I would assume that because she knew we were both brand new to smoking them that we didn't have anything to cut it with.
The workers here are quite friendly and will help you with any questions I have asked, which is a good amount. I recommend this place if you're looking to buy tobacco, or getting something for a male friend of yours. If I happen to be that make friend, I could definitely use a board...
