I used to have a 5 star review for this place, but they've changed the quality of the food. I'm guessing that, like everyone else, times are tough, but I don't understand why they didn't just raise the prices of the food rather than cut back on quality.
The tenders used to come out seasoned, but it's just flavorless on it's own now. Might not be such a problem if they hadn't reduced the amount of sauce they give you now. The jojo's aren't seasoned like they used to be either. You also don't get pickled vegetable anymore either.
The biggest travesty is the crab Rangoon. Just last year no other restaurant could touch this Rangoon, but recently it's not only lost it's great flavor, but it's size as well. They're maybe half the size they were before.
One last gripe. The older lady that works the counter always had some smart comment to make when I ordered rice, kimchi, and Rangoons with my meal. "Wow why you order such big meal?!" I guess it's a problem if you order extra items? I don't eat the potatoes though. The meal was much better if you ate like it was a Korean restaurant.
Anyways, I'll probably never come back to what was my favorite restaurant in Springfield. Skip this place and head to Kung Fu Taco or Corner 21 for a...
Read moreThis place was delicious! The owners are so sweet and home make everything! If you want traditional Korean fast food, K Fried Chicken is the place to go! My friends and I went yesterday and got ttebokki, kimchi, crab rangoon, ramyun, and Korean corn dogs. It was so yummy!
Don’t listen to the bad reviews, most of what I read was just them misunderstanding the place. I saw someone complaining about the door being locked, but they didn’t read the sign saying to use the other door. Another person complained that their tea had weird fruit chunks in it, but that’s because it’s popping boba! I also saw someone wrote that the corn dogs were weird had had sugar on them. Trust me, that’s normal lol. That’s how Korean corn dogs are. If you don’t want the sweet one, you can always get the one with fried potatoes on the outside. One more thing, someone said it was weird that their chicken came with potato wedges. This is Korean fast food, guys. Those are Korean fried potatoes it’s very common. It’s not for everyone, but they...
Read moreI want to start off with the food is delicious. The only thing I would have changed is going for the a boneless option and make sure they are tossed in the sauce. It's personal preference for our house we generally don't eat chicken on the bone. When you get the whole or half chicken you are literally getting a whole chicken cut up into bite sized pieces. My boyfriend and I split the whole chicken meal with the slaw and K-Roll as our sides along with the potatoes. We finished the slaw (which came packagd for two), but had plenty leftover for lunch. The potatoes were mind-blowing, the slaw reminds me of a hibachi salad, and my boyfriend was a fan of the K-Roll. We tried the Korean Sauce, Honey Butter, and Garlic Soy for our sauces. The sauces are amazing. Nothing was too spicy, so I wouldn't be afraid to have it soak in a little having it tossed in the sauce. And even ording delivery through GrubHub it arrived earlier than expected. Overall it was an good experience, but I can't speak to the atmosphere of...
