Michaels — Attraction in Springfield

This is their new location inside white oaks mall parking lot. It's so much roomier than their old store and they have fun new items and expanded sections. If you need a cricut they have a whole aisle of them and tons of accessories. The artificial plant section was awesome and they had cute little faux succulents and containers to put them in. There are lots of papers and stickers and washi tape varieties as well as pens, pencils and markers for using with scrapbooking and journaling. They have a sticker aisle with moveable panels because there are so many stickers. They have disposable wedding tableware and a custom frame shop. The parking lot is much safer than the old location especially for children and those who need a little extra time to get across the lot. I could go on so just go and check this place...

This store is honestly awful. TERRIBLE customer service and no one is available for assistance. Kathy is extremely rude and tries to find ways to get out of doing her job. She constantly hounds about the credit card and if you say no, shes even more rude to you. Extremely loud and presistant about the self check outs. Also please elighten me how you dont match prices on your own website when ive had workers here do it countless times. One day she charged me for something i had changed my mind on so i had to come back and get a refund. Curbside is also a joke. Whats the point of having it if no one can bring you your things. Constantly waiting 30+ minutes just for some stupid excuse. Checkout line is terrible. Always just one cashier and self check outs that...

Nobody in the store ever checks on customers, and if you do need assistance it's almost impossible to find an employee. The worst part is the checkout, which is atrocious. There's only one cashier and two self checkouts, although if anything goes wrong with the self-checkout you have to wait until the cashier is available anyways. On the day that we went the woman working attributed the lack of workers to there being "no more poor people" (obviously false??) and a lack of motivation to work. Everything about our interaction with her after needing assistance was awkward and unenjoyable. Overall, the cusotmer service at this particular Michael's has been absolutely terrible for a long time, and it's difficult to find a good reason to shop...
