If I could give Emma F 0 stars, I would. I booked a color and cut appt and when I arrived and was explaining the cut (just a trim of my current cut, but with more layers, which the last stylist neglected), she became upset that I did wasn’t using her terminology. I have described this to numerous stylists (no layers at the very front, as it ruins the silhouette of my inverted bob). She said, “so no face-framing layers!” Well, I don’t know if that’s the case, I just don’t want “this” part layered. She reiterated, “yeah, so no face-framing layers.” I sighed and looked down because I’m not a hair stylist. I don’t know the terminology, I can only describe what I want/don’t want. So I said, yes, fine.
She then told me that if I was going to have an attitude, I could leave. I was stunned. I was the one trying to explain what I wanted and she was the one who wouldn’t just accept that she knew what I meant even if I wasn’t using her terminology. I have never had a stylist treat me like that before. So I left. She clearly doesn’t need my business. I am new to the area and trying to find a stylist who I will see very regularly for cuts and colors. She must not need the money or the business. She doesn’t know me. Has never met me. But assumed I “had a tone the entire time.” I had no problems with her. Someone clearly was having a bad day and internalized something, taking it out on her customer. Not a good look or a sign of a good business woman. But definitely indicative of behavior of someone her age....
Read moreCat did an AMAZING job on my blonde touch up. I moved to Columbia, MO about a year and a half ago and have been searching for a GOOD blonde stylist this entire time. Unfortunately, Columbia and the surrounding areas left me empty handed. I was in St. Louis after a flight and booked a next day appointment with Cat online based on her reviews. Not only did she see me the day after a holiday for a 3-4 hour service, she KILLED IT! I previously had the same stylist for ten years back on the East Coast and Cat not only matched my previous stylist skill level, but she added her own twists to it and got me lighter and brighter than i’ve been in YEARS (natural dark dirty blonde here). Plus, she is very personable and easy to talk to. I felt like I was having my hair done by a stylist I had known for years. I can happily say that I have found my MO stylist and I will HAPPILY be making the 2 hour drive from Columbia to the Grove area every three months to have my hair done by her. Plus, the Lofts has lash, and nail techs in the same location. So, I think i’m just going to have a complete self refresh day (lashes, nails, and hair) every three months when I make the drive. 10/10 recommend Cat! Read moreI booked an appointment with Jen “Nike” vandever. She sent me her policy information which only consisted of cancellation. When it came to my appointment day she cancelled a few hours before our scheduled time. A week later she did my hair. I was looking for a lived in shadow root look with a cool blonde. I was already super light and her pics on Instagram looked great. I left the appointment with TWO different shades of hair.. When contacting her she was extremely rude and unprofessional. Claiming she doesn’t give refunds due to “her policy” that she didn’t have posted anywhere and never sent to me. When asking her to fix it she said she didn’t have time to deal with me and would give me a PARTIAL refund. Which would leave me out of money with my hair still looking awful. She has gone so far as to blocking me on Instagram and not responding to my texts trying to get an appointment to fix this.
