Klues Escape Room — Attraction in Stroudsburg

7-26-24, Very fun and extremely challenging, though we did participate in the hardest one, "The Mad Scientist" They have easier ones you can do. In their rating of 1-5, 5 being the hardest, "The Mad Scientist" is rated 5! You get immersed in the challenge, and the story. It realy gets you thinking. We have definitely never done anything like it. Stephanie started our room. We told her none of us had ever done anything like this. She was extremely kind, and understanding. She had no problem going over something again if one of us didn't understand what she said. Stephanie is an asset to this company, she made the experience much more enjoyable. I was not asked, nor paid to do this review, nor did I know Stephanie before deciding to try this out.Thank you to all those folks that help in making this possible for everyone to enjoy.

7-27-24, We had so much fun we went back and did "The Moonshiner" escape room. It's a 3 out of 5 star difficulty they say, and participants have a 50% success rate. I'd say it's a 4 star difficulty. We did complete it with 90 seconds to spare. Extremely enjoyable and challenging. If you enjoy puzzles, mystery, and are good with preassure of time limits, don't skip over this place. Definitely a very cool thing to do. Great story lines. It is much more difficult with only 3 people as we did it. I'd say 5 people would definitely make it easier. This is an AMAZING Escape Room!!! I was not sure what to expect, as my family and I have done a few escape rooms in major cities and I worried that a smaller town would not have the best to offer (my erroneous bias). But I was pleasantly surprised. This escape room was extremely challenging, fun, fast-paced, and made each of us sweat just a little bit. The clues were extremely clever, it was beautifully designed with unexpected things popping out and open and our host was the best – both respecting our stubbornness to not ask for a clue, but also helping when needed. The Mad Scientist room is notoriously challenging, we had 7 people and almost did not finish it. Thankfully Klues allows you to have as many clues as you would like which is great in a room that is very challenging. We were all screaming and laughing with joy and it was a thrill racing against the clock and bonding the whole time as we worked together. Me and my s/o were planning a nice weekend getaway in Stroudsburg. We would've loved to do an escape room.

On the phone, I was told that we need to buy a minimum of 3 tickets to get into a room, even if we have a party of 1 or 2. That much is understandable. We were also told that this place USED TO allow groups to team up for solving escape rooms together, but they no longer allow that "because of covid."

"We believe we'd lose too many customers if we allowed that, even if there was a waiver about covid, even if we asked everyone whether or not they'd be okay with combining groups."

Well here's your wake up call. The year is 2022. Go to your local grocery store and count how many masks you see. No one cares about covid anymore, and you just lost 2 customers BECAUSE of your covid policy.

I'm saddened that I didn't get the chance to visit before this business saw sense lifted the restriction. Maybe I'll try again...
