First time trying this kind of food! I’m a very picky eater so I usually don’t try anything I don’t know, but they have photos of everything on the menu which I love! They also have a kiosk which is great for those that don’t like going up to order food when they don’t know the restaurant. Lol. I ordered a slushy from the kiosk and the machine wasn’t ready, so they gave me two other drinks to make up for it that were combined worth more than the slushy, and it worked out because my boyfriend didn’t order a drink. They were super friendly and welcoming and the food was DELICIOUS! Everything is made fresh so there’s a bit of a wait i think we waited maybe 10-15 minutes, it didn’t seem long considering what we were getting and they were working on multiple orders. The portion sizes were huge, I’ve already had leftovers and there’s still quite a bit of food left in the fridge. They also their own hot sauce which is delicious! But be warned if you don’t normally eat spicy food, it is pretty hot. They also have a lot of pastries on display including lots of baklava and different kinds of it. We ordered some to go and they gave us an extra one for free. Those were delicious as well! It was a great experience and we will definitely be back when we’re in stroudsburg again! I did take a photo of the food, but didn’t think to do it until after we started eating. This is the beef and lamb over rice.

Had to update my review, I would give more stars if I could. This is by far the best halal restaurant for gyro and platters over rice in this area. The food is delicious, the portions are excellent and the price is very reasonable. I love to eat there and the owners are so friendly. This is not a commercial chain or fast food. They always make the order fresh and they always have traffic from all their regular customers and usually if you try them you will become a regular. It’s always a good sign when a place is busy that has been open for years. It means the people approve and the food and portions must be excellent for the value. I’m highly skeptical of some other reviews on here . It could be that person just leaves bad reviews everywhere because there is nothing they won’t do to serve you well and address any concerns . Really I love to spend my money where the food is halal, delicious, and a great value. The fact that the atmosphere is so chill and the owners are such kind people is just a bonus. Try them today and you will not regret it . Tell them it’s your first time there and become a regular like the rest of us .

Stopped by here for lunch on the way east. We were expecting Mediterranean food. Ordered two rice platters and two wraps. The good: 1. Quantity: a good amount of food. 2. Service: the person there was very nice and helpful. 3. Clean bathroom. 4. Wide selection of desserts. The not so good: 1. Table we sat at could use some cleaning. Leftover rice and sauce stains. 2. For me, there was WAY too much white sauce all over my rice dish - all over the meat, salad, vegetables, bread. Nothing escaped it. I was not used to this And have never experienced it in any Mediterranean restaurants I’ve eaten. I don’t know whether this is the norm but I basically couldn’t eat my food. The wraps were also drowning in the sauce. The falafel were dense, a bit hard on the outside and shaped like pucks - not round with thin crust.

I want to begin with saying that if I had to give this place 0 stars I would. This place is over priced, horrible tasting food, cheap quality food, rude customer service and horrible waiting times. If you wanted a place that appeals to upper class citizens who want to taste cheap bland Mediterranean please come here. As providing a halal restaurant that is zabiha I understand it’s expensive however 15.99 without tax for a mix meat and rice dish and another 4.99 so you don’t overfill 45% of the plate LITERALY with salad is absurd. On top of this, The second picture shows how dirty and unclean the food is with the bug near it as how unsafe it is/ This place absolutely is disgusting and an explotation of a perfect cuisine to draw in people for a profit grab. Would never suggest not even to my worst enemy!

Stayed at a Hotel in PA ,it so happens that it was Labor Weekend ,that Saturday. It so happens that there was a festival on Main Street. There were alot of people on the streets, it felt like a street fair, alot of street vendors, and performances.Luckily our hotel was just walking distance from Main Street.I decided I was feeling for a Good NY city Lamb Gyro.Came across NYC Street Grill Halal, decided to enter ,was greeted by the Owners nephew which we spoke for awhile, nice conversation, nice person.I think his name was Ahmed. His family is officially from Brooklyn NY as well. The food gyro tasted great, there were other treats on display.Very nice homely place ,friendly people and very nice ambience. If your ever on Main Street in Stroudsburg Poconos give them a visit.

NYC Street Grill Halal brings a taste of the Big Apple to the Poconos! This cozy spot offers delicious halal Mediterranean fare like gyros, shawarma (lamb beef), flavorful rice dishes, and a sweet variety of Baklava, Halwa, and Kunafa. Shawarma is available readily, However, kebobs take time to be served. Don't forget to ask for their homemade hot sauce if you are a heat lover. The menu caters to all appetites, with options for a quick lunch or a relaxed family dinner. While the reviews are a bit mixed, diners consistently praise the generous portions and fresh ingredients. Stop by and experience NYC street food with a warm, family-friendly atmosphere while driving from NYC to the Niagara Falls.
