With all due respect, my first visit here was very disappointing, and unfortunately, I won’t be returning. I want to provide an honest review in hopes it’s helpful for future improvement. I ordered the Chicken Marsala and was served what tasted like pre-cooked, bagged chicken—similar to what you’d find in a takeout lo mein dish. For $22, I expected much better quality. To compare, Olive Garden’s Chicken Marsala is $20 and far superior in both flavor and presentation and grilled. The sauce here lacked richness—it could benefit from heavy cream, and the dish would feel more complete if paired with mashed potatoes or had a stuffing. By that I mean given with the meal, not asked as a choice of side. My partner ordered the bacon cheddar burger and found it quite plain. A simple improvement like adding Lipton onion soup mix to the patty could enhance the flavor significantly. We sat upstairs, and the space itself felt run-down. The furniture was scratched and worn, and the chair I sat in rocked uncomfortably. The atmosphere would benefit from a refresh, perhaps painting the brick a soft gray-white, updating the walls and lighting, and adding cozy booth seating along the edges. The current layout feels outdated and a bit neglected. Instead of bread, the table received pickled items and peppers, which I personally enjoyed. However, this should be optional, as I imagine a lot of it goes uneaten. We were given too much, and I felt bad leaving the rest behind. Smaller portions or asking first would reduce waste. The pickles could also be improved for better flavor. On a positive note, I appreciated that straws weren’t automatically given out. It’s a nice eco-conscious touch and cuts unnecessary costs—more places should adopt this approach. Overall, while the staff was polite and the concept has potential, the food quality does not justify the prices. If the kitchen doesn’t improve or the ambiance isn’t upgraded, I’d recommend dining elsewhere. The restaurant could really benefit from rethinking both the menu execution and the physical space. Unfortunately, unless major changes are made, I won’t be returning.

I'll do a quick review for those that don't want to read everything! The food was great, the service was poor, drinks weren't refilled in a timely manner. We were a group of 9, so I was trying to be understanding, but nobody checked on us for about an hour. This place was a rollercoaster. We had 9 people, but I still feel like I'm being generous giving 3-stars. Everything started off great, our waiter was training someone and they got our waters out quickly. They brought out Miso Soup and edamame which was also great! It took about an hour from the time we received the miso soup and edamame to get our meals. Almost everyone loved their food! It was hot and fresh! My husband had a pesto chicken sandwich and it hardly had any meat in it. When they brought that out along with another sandwich, the waiter couldn't even tell the difference because all he could see was bread, so, he did the "obvious" thing and started to open the bread with his fingers on BOTH sandwiches so he could determine which was which. I thought that was extremely unprofessional and rude. Had they put more meat or toppings on it, maybe he wouldn't have had to touch them. I got sushi and never in my experience of having sushi have I ever had wasabi paste put on it to "hold it" together. It was horrible. I've had sushi from around the world and even in Japan they don't do this. If you don't like wasabi, I'm sure you can understand the disgust I had when I tasted it. The waiter was very nice about it and fixed it for me. The other issue I had is that while waiting for our food during that hour, nobody came to check on us to refill our drinks. When we first got there it was busy, but it was almost empty in our room before we got our food and we still couldn't even gain eye contact with anyone to help us get refills. Maybe this place is better with smaller groups, but I just didn't enjoy it as much as I was hoping to.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sarah Street Grill, and I must say, the experience exceeded my expectations. One of the highlights of my visit was indulging in their sushi, which was nothing short of delicious. Each bite was a delightful blend of fresh ingredients and expert craftsmanship, leaving me craving more. During my time at Sarah Street Grill, I also learned an interesting tidbit about the origin of the restaurant's name. A teacher mentioned to me that "Sarah" was the daughter of Stroudsburg, which is the combination of three names of the city in Pennsylvania. This charming anecdote added an extra layer of significance to my dining experience, making it feel even more special and rooted in the local community. In addition, I had the pleasure of toasting to a husband and wife who are expecting a new addition to their family! It was heartwarming to hear that his wife is about three months pregnant, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of joy and celebration in the air. This news further enriched my experience at Sarah Street Grill, making it an unforgettable evening filled with delicious food, warm ambiance, and the shared excitement of new beginnings. I must also give a shout out to Krista, my server, who made excellent suggestions on the drinks. Her attentive service and friendly demeanor truly enhanced my dining experience, and I'm grateful for her expertise and hospitality. Cheers to Krista and the entire team at Sarah Street Grill for an unforgettable evening!

My friends and I recently visited this restaurant after a fun night at the movies, hoping to enjoy a pleasant meal and continue our evening on a positive note. Unfortunately, our experience at the restaurant was far from what we had expected.

From the moment we walked in, we felt an unwelcoming atmosphere. The waitress who attended to us seemed to be in a sour mood. Despite our politeness and understanding, she allowed external factors to affect her professionalism and interactions with us throughout our entire visit.

As we patiently endured her subpar service, things took a turn for the worse towards the end of our meal. After paying the bill and settling our tab, the waitress chose to direct her frustrations and anger towards our group. She berated and insulted us in a completely uncalled-for manner, even though we had been nothing but polite and respectful during our time at the restaurant.

What made matters worse was that her outburst was triggered by an external private situation unrelated to anyone in the restaurant at the time. It was utterly inappropriate and unprofessional to subject customers to such unwarranted behavior based on personal issues.

While we understand that everyone can have a bad day, it is crucial for those in the service industry to maintain a level of professionalism and not let personal issues affect their interactions with customers. Unfortunately, this waitress failed to uphold that standard, leaving a lasting negative impression on our entire dining experience.

As a result of this regrettable encounter, we cannot recommend this restaurant to others. No one deserves to be treated with disrespect and unkindness by a "mean girl", while simply trying to enjoy a meal. We hope the management takes the necessary steps to address such behavior to ensure that future patrons do not have to endure a...
