If you’ve ever dreamed of uncovering the perfect vintage treasure, you’re in the right place! Antique stores are big treasure chests. When one shops at them for home decor items, you are truly choosing a special way of creating a home that is all your own.
Housed in a restored historic building prior to its present use, the Olde Engine Works began operating as a machine shop that built huge, steam-powered hoists (winches) used mainly for lumbering and quarrying in 1903, located on 3rd Street in Stroudsburg. The place is arranged into individual areas for the consignment sellers and has a main desk where you pay as you leave. People are quite friendly and you can easily spend a couple of hours here. It is a bit a bit out of the way although located close to Main Street. Using your phone's guidance is very helpful. You initially see the signs for the business but have to follow around to the back where the parking structure area is located. Overall it is well worth visiting and Bargains...
