The Gamer's Edge Comics & Games — Attraction in Stroudsburg

Ladies and gentlemen, fellow nerds, collectors, and master gamers unite and rejoice! We finally have a perfect throwback to 90s sanctuaries for those of us who appreciate interactive arts and diverse collectibles. This place is something straight out of my childhood nostalgia revamped and rejuvenated to fit the mold of modern society while maintaining all the things my generation and those before appreciate and yearn for as an escape from reality at the very least. The shop is clean, no funky odors, merchandise selection is varied and abundant at prices ranging between fair to worth every cent in the hands of the appropriate consumer. Staff is friendly, knowledgeable, courteous, and down to Earth so much so it is near impossible to distinguish them from customers if they didn't spend time behind the registry counter. There is a lot for everyone to enjoy spanning all walks of life. It is clearly visible in the photos I've submitted that space is not even remotely an issue. Next time you're itching to grab a buried gem in the gaming department(rare and exotic board games included), looking to add to various collections like cards, comics, FunkoPop figures, etc., seeking the next best opponent in a game of Magic, Pokémon, etc., or just eager to spend some spare currency on a fun gift for yourself or someone else, look no further. I have yet to find a Mecca for individuals like myself of this magnitude and organization. Give them a shot, you can thank me later and tell them Sark sent you. Forever...

So I've been to this location twice now(the first time, to scope it out with my kiddo). Most recently I took my son to a Pokemon (card) event(trading, playing the actual card game-they use legit league rules.. at least that's what my son says 😅 it's been many a year since I dabbled in Pokemon- etc.) Y'all I was there for FIVE hours while the event took place 🙃 & honestly until I got hungry, I didn't even realize how much time had passed! While there's not a HUGE selection of collectible items, they certainly do not lack in comic books spanning the years& generations! (Throwback to the 90s show/comic Gargoyles anyone?!🙌) They also have a decent(albeit somewhat small) collection of manga available! Now I'm not gonna lie, I'm unclear whether the person running the event works for the comic store or just with them for events like what I attended, but both he and the staff were very friendly(& patient -my kid is definitely a chatty one lol), helpful and welcoming, as were the individuals participating in the Pokemon event. 😁 According to my son, we WILL be going back to attend another event sometime in the future & I'm not mad about it! I've been in Stroudsburg a few times, but from the moment I walked in I was blown away with the size of the store. They let you just come in and play a game all you like, and they have plenty of room to spare for it. The staff was very nice and knowledgeable. I can't speak for comics, CCGs, or miniatures as I do not really collect any of those, but I was simply blown away by the board game collection. I'm an avid player of board games, and I can tell you all the prices were fair. Nothing was above the market retail value, and many were below it. Simply the largest selection of board games I've seen in a store outside of a large city, and the owner seemed willing to order things missing in his collection (I'm not a regular, so again cannot attest to that, but he took out a notepad when I made a recommendation). I was even able to pick a copy of Euphoria: Build a Better Dystopia, which is out of print and was still sold below the original retail...
