This is a great gym and at a great value! They have all the equipment you need to reach your goals and are always adding new equipment. They have I believe 4-5 power racks for squats/deadlifts which is more than some luxury gyms have and plenty of other great features (like the turf/core area and hydromassage). Also, when equipment breaks, they are pretty good about getting it fixed in a timely manner. I have seen more expensive gyms have equipment showing "out of order" for weeks at a time. The value here is worth it over many other gyms in the area.
Their personal training staff is great - Mr. Jim Horr is the best. I have had injuries in the past which have kept me from progressing in the gym and he has coached me through them. He is attentive and does not waste time with his workouts - he makes sure to use every minute of the session giving you a great workout. He also is great at teaching each movement and explaining why it is important. If you have any particular areas you have trouble with, such as low back/knees, he spends time teaching you on how to combat those problem areas. I am grateful to have had him coach me on how to lift/exercise properly and safely. I am back doing lifts I never thought I would be able to do again. He is also one of the friendliest and most humble people in the gym and is always willing to offer some exercise advise to gym members. I also greatly appreciate the wisdom he brings from his background and life experiences.
In addition, their staff in general is great. Jacob and Megan do a great job managing the club (they know many members by first name basis) and the general staff is friendly. Any concerns brought up get addressed. I have heard great things about many of their other trainers too.
All in all - this is a great gym at a...

The good: This is perhaps the least expensive gym in town. If you pay upfront for 15 moths, it works out to around $20/month. There are lot of fancy gyms out there that cost an arm and a leg with many amenities that most of us never use. From that perspective, this gym is pretty decent. I signed up for personal training and my experience has been pretty positive. My trainer knows exactly the extent to which he should push me, no more but more importantly, no less. I only wish personal training is not so expensive.
The bad: Sadly, their “cheap” membership fees reflect in the amenities. I primarily signed up with this gym to use their racquetball court. I have been complaining to them about the poor lighting in the court for two YEARS (yes, you read that right), but till date NOTHING has been done, except for empty promises. The gym manager changes every 4 or 5 months (perhaps by deliberate design), and I have to start the cycle all over again. Each time, I am promised that their “maintenance manager” would look into it and change the bulbs “in a week”. I never realized that changing 6 light bulbs is such an arduous task. Interestingly, the only person you can talk to is the gym manager, who is either never there in the gym or keeps changing. The only time you will have their attention is when you sign up for personal training, which is where they really make money. If you need anything else fixed, good luck with that. As a business, I understand they need to make money, so I have no qualms about it. However, they have a moral obligation to maintain all parts of the facility in a decent condition. If you tour their facility as a prospective member, just take a peek inside the dimly-lit racquetball court and you...
Read moreI used to enjoy coming to this gym but it has gone downhill FAST.
Some trainers at this gym repeatedly stare at women while they work out. I’ve personally witnessed this multiple times — in some cases, for several minutes while the women were in vulnerable workout positions. What’s worse is that these trainers were supposed to be working with other clients at the time. When I’ve confronted them about it, they’ve responded with aggression and hostility instead of any professionalism.
The billing system is a mess. I was told my membership would remain frozen while I was out of town for several months. Despite that, my account was unfrozen without my permission, and I was charged for months I wasn’t even in the state — let alone using the facility. Management ignored every attempt I made to fix the situation.
They overwork their cleaning staff to the point where I personally witnessed one employee have what looked like a bowel-related accident while working. It was shocking and incredibly sad to see. This kind of thing happened more often in the earlier years, and I’m not sure if it still does — but it reflects a serious failure in how they treat their employees.
There is almost never a manager available. They’re always “working out” or “out to lunch,” making it nearly impossible to raise a concern or resolve any issue.
This gym has become an embarrassment to the community. Poor leadership, questionable behavior, mismanagement, and complete lack of accountability. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
