I've gone to this carwash location for over 15 years. I've always been happy before. Last year, they convinced me to buy a 5 pre-paid inside/out carwash package that I can use any time. I had never done that before and I normally don't like those pre-paid packages, but they convinced me. Since then, most of times I went there, I forgot to bring the pre-paid package and paid. Today, mid afternoon when carwash was not busy, I went to get my 3rd carwash out of the 5 carwash package that I bought before. As I went indoor to get my 3rd carwash stamped, they told me that I had to pay an extra $2 as the price went up. I told them that this is a pre-paid package that I could use any time, I didn't buy a pre-paid package to have to pay extra when I want to use it. The lady behind the counter kept on repeating it while I tried to say it's pre-paid, I should not have to pay extra. She got very unpleasant to interact with. I asked for the manager, she said she is the manager. I asked if there is someone else I can talk to. Another customer behind me also agreed that they shouldn't charge more on a pre-paid deal. At the end, someone else gave her the overwrite that I didn't have to pay extra. So I asked, I still have another 2 carwashes on the package, can you refund me 2/5 of the original price so I won't have to deal with this again the next time I try to use the remainder of the pre-paid package. She said, she could not do that. I asked, do I have to go through this again? She said, hopefully not with me as I don't want to talk to you any more. She was very abrupt and very disrespectful throughout the discussion and not willing to listen to the rules I signed up with. The paper has no expiration or limitations listed. Additionally, when my car was ready, gave receipt and tip, I asked them if they got one spot of sunscreen on the inside of the door covered. As I showed him, he said that he didn't do that as that will cost more money. I've never heard this response before in all the years I went there. I don't have kids, rarely ever anyone is in the backseat, so my car is pretty clean when I go, rubbing a few times over a spot should not be an extra charge as it been all the years before. I'll consider if I still use up my last 2 pre-paid items or not because I'd rather take that money loss than being subject to that behavior. I'll definitely find somewhere else to go after the...
Read moreI am so upset with this place right now. I moved to town approx. 3 months ago and have used this gas station frequently. The reason is because this place is less than a mile from my home. I recently started using the carwash service as well. I have a total of three personal vehicles and one work vehicle all of which need filling up often. On July 8th, 2025 at approximately 6:25PM. I walked in and asked the young man behind the counter to start the tire air compressor for me. He said that I needed to purchase fuel or pay the $0.25. I told him that I just put fuel and got a carwash last week. He refused to start the compressor for me and said I had to pay for it. I do not carry coins in my car these days. Most everything is digital. So after 30 seconds of bickering, I told him that this is bullshit. I said that you are willing to lose a customer over $0.25. He stayed true to his decision. It is the law that they must provide air and water with fuel purchase. It dies not state that it must be the same day or how much fuel. Well, I will not be back to support a business this greedy and not willing to help me out. So let's figure this out. $70 fill up on my work vehicle at 26 fill ups a year. That's $1820. Not to mention the personal cars that need gas and car washes. In addition, one exit away (off 101 hwy) on the corner on Caliente and Fair Oaks is a Valero gas station who will reset the air compressor without question and without buying fuel. They have just earned my fuel business.
Unprofessional and shady businesses practice. Hidden up charge with many excuses, low prizing on the website to get people to come in and then overcharge. Prices are not posted anywhere publicly, so this likely happens all the time without people evening noticing and likely a routine practice for the business. On the website just exterior sedan wash is $25, at the entrance I was charged $35. For this price can get a full wash elsewhere. Asked the cashier why the up charge, he asked if I have an SUV which I don’t. He sees on the camera it is a sedan. Then said if at the entrance staff sees it is extra dirty like mud and things they will up charge, told him it is not.
He then got the manager, she asked again if I have an SUV and again I still don’t. Then she said we up charge for luxury cars, told her that is not listed anywhere. She said it is posted everywhere, it is NOT posted anywhere physically or on the website, see website image below (since I went a few weeks ago they have increase the price from $25).
She then got the manager, an older gentle man came out and was very annoyed, waved his hand irritatedly at me and the cashier to just refund me the $10. Then he pointed at a white sedan with a hatchback outside and asked “what would you call that?”. Hmmm… a SEDAN as it is obviously not an suv/truck/van. He is basically telling me a model 3 is a sedan with hatchback = suv/truck/van, WHAT?!
$10 is of course not a big deal but it is the principle of how to conduct business and treat people with respect. Hiding behind excuses of “luxury car, too dirty, sedan with hatchback is a suv” and up charge puts people off and they will not come back. I see many reviews here with the same complaint and other excuses. Extra star as the crew did a great job of cleaning the car and I tried to give them the $10, but they were all inside the car wash tunnel. Sadly they are probably told to up charge all sedans as either people don’t...
