Roshan & Sheetal have once again delivered an exceptional dining experience with his fourth restaurant in the South Bay, and as expected, the flavors truly bring out the authentic taste of Mumbai. Having visited his other establishments numerous times (Puranpoli, Solkahi, Surmai), I had high expectations, and this place did not disappoint.
We tried the Aloo Frankie and the Manchurian Frankie, and I must say, these were by far the best Frankies I have had in the Bay Area. The roti was soft yet had the perfect amount of crispiness, the fillings were flavorful and well-seasoned, and the chutneys added just the right balance of spice and tanginess. The Aloo Frankie was comfort food at its finest, packed with well-mashed, spiced potatoes that melted in the mouth. The Manchurian Frankie, on the other hand, had an incredible Indo-Chinese twist—crispy Manchurian balls wrapped in a soft roll with a delicious, slightly spicy sauce that left me craving more. My favorite was the Manchurian Frankie.
Apart from the amazing food, the ambiance of the restaurant was also impressive. The space is well-maintained, clean, and inviting, making it a great spot to hang out with friends or family. There is plenty of outdoor seating, which is a big plus, especially on pleasant evenings. The lighting at night adds a warm, cozy feel to the entire place, making it perfect for both casual dining and special outings. The service was prompt, and the staff was friendly and helpful, adding to the overall positive experience.
If you’re a fan of Mumbai street food, this place is a must-visit. Whether you’re new to Frankies or already love them, the flavors here are sure to impress. I can’t wait to come back and try more from their menu. And if you haven't visited their other restaurants you are...
Read moreI have never written any negative reviews but my disappointing experience at this restaurant warrants me to write one. I went there with my friends as a party of four. From the beginning the lack of organization was quite obvious. Customers had to take it upon themselves to find a table. No one was getting seated. We finally find a table after waiting for almost 30 min. The people leaving the table told us that they had taken a refund as they were tired of waiting for food. The staff person just cleared dirty dishes and did not clean the table. We placed our order around 7:45pm by going to the reception desk as no one came to take an order or check on us. Till around 9 pm there was still no sight of food. By that time, my friend had made 3 trips to the reception to check on our order. The staff at reception apologized every time but didn't do anything. We also noticed that there were people who came after us but were already served food. To add to our astonishment, we also noticed that they were prioritizing online orders over the table orders. By the time I made my 5th trip to the reception, the lady at reception (don't know her name) got confrontational. By then, it was almost 9;15. We took our refund and left. I was so surprised that when we asked for the refund, there was no effort to check on the reason or to try mend it. Customer service is very important. I won't be going there ever again and would NOT recommend this place to anyone. I would strongly caution for potential disappointment. I can't comment on any food as we never got...
Read moreI never write review . But I thought it’s necessary to spread public awareness . There has been so much fake hype about this restaurant so we decided to try . We ordered paneer aloo Frankie , chilli paneer , noodles and some garlic fried rice .
Aloo Frankie - this was the best out of the lot . But nothing too extraordinary.
Chilli paneer - super oily and half cooked spices , paneer was not neither properly roasted nor fried . Something was up .
Noodles - schezwan noodles , they were neither indo nor Chinese lol . Again uncooked spices without a coherent taste .
Garlic fried rice - ordered this because saw some recommendation . Again tasteless it was overly garlic without an other coherent spice to carry it .
Overall felt food was like some very very mediocre street side food ( and not in a good way ) in India which is over done with undercooked spices and you need to have a gallon of water hours afterward to just settle your stomach .
I still don’t see the point of this position of the restaurant in market . I would rather go to Everest momo if I want relatively cheap street side noodles . Or I would go to Inchin bamboo or red hot chilli for upscale family time . I hoped that this could be a go to with little better quality than Everest to be able to eat frequently , but very disappointed .
May be their...
