No pseudo Mrs. T's "pierogi" here! This is the real deal just like Grandma made with the hand formed specially made dough and not tough ravioli style pasta dough. It was our first time here and since we were the only ones in the store I expected a warm greeting from the women behind the counter but nothing until I was asked if I could be helped. Cultivating customers is always a good idea esp. when you have the luxury of just having two new ones who are not familiar with the layout or procedures....Also consider a loyalty program of card punches, promotions, and have a reduced price area for items nearing or having reached use by dates. People like deals and a reason to return. Overall I was really impressed with this charming and well stocked store, so my suggestions are just to make it the best it can be so that it stay around. The hot bar needed to have the items turned more frequently so the tops of items like pierogis won't dry out--maybe some kind of partial cover or just more frequent basting. Tops of my pierogis were dry and the dumplings were too. I wasn't expecting meat in the potato ones. Please make a meatless version! The sauerkraut ones were deliciously sauerkrauty but that made the mushrooms difficult to taste. How about a potato-mushroom version? The pierogis perked up when I lighted fried them, but the meat dumpling stayed pretty tough. Also, reheating tips would be helpful--some people might nuke them and ruin them. My friend nuked his dumpling and it turned into the inside of a golf ball. Also, when someone is ordering by the pound, it's a good idea to warn them if it's going to go over. Some may wish to stay under rather than go over, and I am one of those people esp. when having a set amt. to spend. Both my hot dishes went over and wound up costing a total of $2.25 more and I would rather have spent the $ on a beverage instead. I was also disappointed to see they use styrofoam containers; they could maintain more of an Old World feel with something more Earth-friendly and healthy. The borscht was just broth but flavored with layers of unique spices and I don't know what they were, but it was perfect. Chilled soup with a dollop of sour cream on a summer day just the thing. Again, educate folks how to reheat or serve cold. Offer samples for people who have not been exposed to Eastern European food--you'll get them hooked! The cold cuts--Canadian bacon, and the Hungarian rolled bacon with paprika edge (Boczek Zawijany, which fit perfectly on some bagels I got at nearby Einsteins and sure is pretty to look at) were both great very fine quality meats. They have a good selection of imported beers and it was good to see dark beers which are so hard to find out here. When the weather improves, sitting outside under one of their bright red umbrellas would be very pleasant. Next time I want to spend more time going up and down the aisles reading the labels on the canned goods since so many items looked so fascinating, and their unique souvenir items and fancy church-like candles might make some fine gifts. Just tweak some of the weak spots and success will be assured!

I've given this store A to Z Polish Store in Surprise a few chances, but the meat department continues to disappoint-especially the Canadian Bacon ( cyganska poledwica) To make matters worse, they cut fre slices from the good nice bacon then the rest is from old or overgrown one. It is not the first time they do that and cheat the customer. Such a disappointment!!! I won't be shopping in there anymore! I'd recommend shopping elsewhere! Here is picture so you can judge yourself if is from one or couple different types of bacon! I am not saying the bacon went bad it was either from the old piece of meat or from overgrown one, and to your information I live 5 min from the store so this possibly could not happen in this short amount of time. They slice the meat in front you of you, but with the back facing you so you can't see when they throw bad meat into the mix. This is very highly unprofessional to say that this was a made up story and will not recommend this place to anyone again.

I definitely think I’m going to have to go many more times to know for sure of what I love, but what a cute shop. I thought from the look outside it would be larger, but it is a decent size with an added outside patio to sit and eat things you may have bought at the deli or bakery. Let me tell you the moment we opened the door it smelled like heaven. We had just ate lunch nearby or I’d of ordered more. Again, I’m going to have to figure out what I was smelling to get it next time. The line for food was quite long so that right there tells me it’s good. The market had some great items for baking as well as snacks. I loved the small collection of little toddler clothes. The store was clean and organized. Prices were fair we didn’t talk to any employees since all of them were very busy at the time we walked in.

What? How did I not review this place when they 1st opened? Ok, sorry for the delay! I love this Polish Market where every visit is a Polish Fest Feast! Everything a hit from the hard to find Fresh Parsley Root, to the ready to eat hot dinners (yeah, you pick and choose) with the option to enjoy your meal outdoors on their patio. Don't forget dessert & a drink to wash it all down. Bakery section with the fresh baked breads and rolls sweets and... 😋 We were able to get Polish "gromnica", gifts, knick knacks, greeting cards, Candy... a one stop shop to satisfy your sweet tooth, tummy, & more! So greatful you are here. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. I missed the deli's from the Chicagoland area - but not anymore... Welcome to AZ I hope you'll grow bigger and open more locations like in Goodyear (Hint 😉 Hint) until then, we will keep coming to you from the Estrella Mountains for a hot meal and lunch meat fresh breads & salads for the week ahead.

I like to take the time to make a comment about the negative comments on here: it looks like the competition got jealous of this place and needed to knock them down a few Stars - shame on people who lie because I've had their gołąbki and they are out of this world, plenty of meat and the sauce is not out of the can!! it is flavorful and definitely worth the price. I make meals at home from scratch... I'm just thrilled I could give myself a break and shop here for a "home cooked meal" that will only please those who want a real...

As a recent transplant to the west valley from Chicago, I have been longing for some good Polish food. The local dining scene here is abysmal - far too many chain restaurants. So I was super excited to see this small deli/market on Google maps. Just visited and will definitely be back. Employees are very nice and friendly. I was excited they had fresh dill in their tiny produce case - very, very hard to get fresh dill in supermarkets here and if you do find it is is prohibitively expensive. However, their hot food bar is a welcome treat. I bought some potato pancakes and pierogi (sweet cheese and the sauerkraut/mushroom). Both excellent! Pierogi were very fresh and delish and a good price. If you have only had the mass produced, frozen kind found in supermarkets then you do not know what good pierogi is. Try some the pierogi here - eat them as is or take them home and fry them lightly in a pan with some butter. OMG. I will be back and hope to try other pierogi varieties and other hot food selections and maybe some of the...
