Ulta Beauty — Local services in Surprise

I booked a basic haircut which includes a cut, wash and style. I booked this through the online booking service with Hermiz. I arrived on time and noticed that my stylist was working on another client which was not an issue. Hermiz took me back shortly after arriving and began explaining how due to my dandruff that none of the shampoos would be good for my hair and recommended I see a Dr. for special shampoo, this was not a big deal. Then he proceeded to talk about how he was overbooked and expressed his frustration with the way his clients we scheduled. Hermiz did not make me feel as though I was welcomed, I felt as an inconvenience the whole time. He joked about how long my hair was and how he is always working. The cut took about 20 minutes with him washing another clients hair in between. When my cut was finished he took me to the check out and I was handed a bill for the full service of $55. I asked why I had not received the wash and style and I got two answers the first due to my dandruff he didn't want to wash my hair and the second my hair was to long and he didn't have time. I said that I would still like the full service, Hermiz agreed but responded with an attitude. I waiting for about 5 minutes before the receptionist explained that due to the length of my hair he would not be finishing the service. I did not pay the full price, the store manager did give me 20% off bringing the total to $44. I am very unhappy with the customer service I received and would NOT recommend getting a haircut at ULTA in surprise at least not by Hermiz. I would like to say that I like the cut but it is hard to tell since my hair is dirty. If you are looking for just a haircut I would recommend Great Clips or Super Cuts, it's cheaper and the customer service is way better. I will not...

I gave this Ulta Beauty 3 stars for a couple reasons. First, I had 2 different hair appointments that were weeks apart. Both were canceled litterally 2 hours begorr my appointment time at 1pm. The manager did manage to get me booked again with a different stylist fot thst same day, which was awesome! Onlynto have my second appointment cancelled the morning of my appointment. I couldn't get it rescheduled for another month this time, so i was a littke annoyed. I got over it and wrnt to my appointment and I like my hair, I dont quite feel lthe love inwanted to for my hair. That wont stop me from going back to this salon though. I will just try a different stylist next time. I just hope i dont get cancelked on again! The other thing I did not like is that I had bought some undereye primer by "StriVectin anti wrinkle BlurFector for eyes". I tried this product on a whim and was disappointed. I eventually figured out that the product was pretty much past its expiration date so applying it was a battle in its own. It was so clumpy that I could not blend it in no matter how hard I tried. Instead I was left with clumps of product under my eyes. Only because the manger did everything she could to get me into my first hair appointment after it was canceled . A Five-Star Experience with Lizzy at Ulta!

I had the pleasure of booking an appointment with Lizzy at my favorite Ulta, and I’m so glad I did! I was in a bit of a time crunch with my daughter’s wedding coming up, and needed a root touch-up, highlights, and a trim. Honestly, I was a bit nervous since I’d had different stylists before, and my hair never quite turned out the way I wanted. But Lizzy was an absolute game-changer.

She took the time to really listen to what I was hoping for, especially when it came to color. I’ve been trying to get the perfect blonde for a while now, and she nailed it. The highlights are exactly what I envisioned – bright, natural-looking, and just the right shade. The trim was perfect, and she made sure everything looked polished and fresh without losing too much length.

What I loved most about the experience, though, was how kind and patient Lizzy was. She made me feel at ease, and I could tell she genuinely cared about giving me the best result possible. I’ve never been so thrilled with my hair before – it turned out better than I could have ever imagined!

I’m so happy to have found Lizzy and will definitely be returning for future appointments. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a stylist who listens, cares, and knows how to deliver...
