What's better than a glass of cold iced tea on a hot summer day? A bonus mystery substance in your tea! Placed an order with Chick-fil-A and added one of the gallons of unsweet tea. The container was sealed and the tea appeared to be ok. When the gallon was opened and some of the tea was poured into a cup, we heard a "plop" sound. I said "I think something came out of the container". We got a spoon and pulled out the gross mystery substance that looked like snot. Then when holding the gallon of tea up to the light we saw there was MORE of this "stuff" floating inside the container. After looking up online if anyone else has had an issue with Chick-fil-A's tea, we found that there were a few other posts from people saying they had a jellyfish “thing” in their tea. The posts say this mystery stuff forms when the tea is old. I tried calling the location the order was fulfilled, but no one answered the phone the three times I called. I decided I would then call the corporate office and was routed to the Chick-fil-A Cares department. Which after all of this I really think they should consider renaming the department and NOT using the word "care". Since this was a health/safety concern I thought they should know what happened. I called and spoke with a nice man that genuinely seemed concerned about the issue. He took down all the information about the tea and said "management from the location the order was placed will contact you in 24 hours" - this was on a Monday evening. I figured maybe I would hear something by Wednesday - Nope! By Friday I still had not heard back, so I decided I would just call the location directly. I asked to speak with a manager and was told there was not a manager in, but I could speak with the shift supervisor. I explained what happened and asked if they had any knowledge of the previous complaint put through to the Cares department and was told no. After telling him about the tea he says "I know what happened and the tea was old" - well no kidding . He then says "the tea was probably left over from the night before and wasn't tossed out. The gallon you received was probably mixed in with fresh gallons the next day". I get things can happen, but that is GROSS. The shift supervisor says his "resolution" is that I can come down to the location and he will offer a "recovery order" to replace the gallon of tea, but the offer will expire in 30 days. Personally, I don't feel that is truly an acceptable resolution. I was given a gallon of tea that had “something” in it. What if the mystery substance wasn't noticed and the tea was ingested and someone got sick? Plus after calling corporate who was were supposedly reaching out to the store manager to contact me, I never received a call. I called the Chick-fil-A's Care department back and spoke with another person that was not at all helpful. Then was transferred to her manager (which was probably not a manager). I was told that they will reach back out to the Chick-fil-A location the order was fulfilled at and let them know I was still unhappy with the situation and did not like their offer of a resolution. I explained to this Cares mgr that I wasn't asking for anything extreme. When she asked me "so what is it that you feel would be an acceptable resolution?" I replied to her with "a refund for the order or at least a $20 gift card (which was less than the order was for)". I mean seriously, your company served up an expired product that was NOT safe. Her reply was that they cannot offer that and she will reach back out to the location the order was placed and someone from that location will contact me in 3-5 business days. Take away from this is my PSA to you as a fellow consumer: Don't drink the tea from...
Read moreI have always loved going to chik fil a friendly staff great service and delicious food except for this location. Our first time coming to this location through the drive thru I ordered a south west spicy chicken salad with crispy chicken instead of grilled and a 6 piece kids chicken nugget meal. First in the drive thru I informed the girl that the magnet strip doesnt work on my card only the chip do they have a chip reader or can they manually run it. She had to get someone to help her manually run it which was fine by her attitude It seemed like it bothered her but i just figured it was dinner rush and she must be just stressed then she hands me a chicken sandwich meal and a kids meal bag. I informed her that i got a salad not a sandwich meal she took the bag no apology nothing not a word then she grabbed a salad and handed it to me. Not have a nice day nothing which is unusual service from chik fil a as I have always had outstanding service from the team members at chik fil a. Which is fine everyone has their bad days. So I drive away they didnt give my daughter the fruit cup that is clearly on the reciept nor did they give me crispy chicken in my salad but grilled chicken so I had to turn around and go inside since the drive thru line was very long and I had already waited in it. After I tell them what's wrong the girl at the counter was very sweet apologized and had everything fixed immediately however I finally get home and my daughters kids meal only had 4 nuggets which I paid for 6. Its seems like the first girl just gave us the completely wrong order and never bothered to check anything because she already had a bad attitude. How frustrating for me seeing that I paid almost 20 dollars for food we didnt get and time that was wasted trying to correct the order. I wouldn't have wrote the review if I hadn't came home to find that her kids meal only had four nuggets. This is just upsetting because I have always loved chik fil a and moving to the area and getting this kind of service for a first time at a new location doesnt make me ever want to...
Read moreI love Chick-fil-A. I am usually impressed with this location, not tonight. First of all it took 25 minutes in the drive-thru to get our food. I reassured my family that the line goes fast (they will never believe me again). I made sure everyone knew what they wanted as we waited. The menus were not lit so my wife looked it up online. When we finally got to order the person was having difficulties with our modifications (which is understandable). My wife orders a wrap that the online menu advertises and that really slows things down as I guess this was taken off the menu. Meanwhile cars are piling up behind us. I get to the window and ask if they had the wrap and she said no they took it off the menu in January. In a matter-of-fact way I let her know it was on the online menu and she snapped at me stating that they didn't have any control over the online menu. I was willing to let our misfortune until now go because usually the food was so good, again not the case. We get home and our 12 piece nugget that we paid for was only an 8 count nugget, the fries were half full, and the grilled nuggets were dry and rubbery. 4 nuggets missing is annoying but not usually a deal breaker until it was supposed to feed 2 children. My wife is furious and calls the store and all you get is an opportunity to leave a message. After spending $22 on a salad, fries, and nuggets that we didn't even get all of, they don't even answer the phone, We left a message and are waiting for a response. This in my opinion is unacceptable. With what the workers are getting paid, orders should...
