Ordered 2 Beef Burritos with Green sauce via Doordash. Received 6 breakfast rollers and 2 hash browns. Informed Doordash of the mistake and asked for re-delivery of my 2 burritos. Dashers told me the staff refused to remake the burritos saying "that order was already picked up"
Drove down to the store with the bag of incorrect items to have my 2 burritos made and show them I got the wrong order. Right off the bat, the worker in the photo was hostile telling me I needed to "fix my attitude or she wasn't going to serve me." I calmly tried to explain that I was upset I needed to drive down to resolve this issue that wasn't my fault to begin with. She tried to blame the driver and everyone else but herself for the mix-up. The bag had my name on it, but claimed the driver grabbed the wrong order??!?!?
After that it went downhill. She said due to my attitude she wasn't going to serve me and I needed to get out of her store. I asked for the store managers name and number and she refused to provide it. Repeatedly telling me if I didn't leave she was going to call the police. I stood at the counter as she hid in the back of the store till new customers walked in. She then walked up front and screamed at me "Are you going to leave or do I need to call police?"
I asked one last time, "I just want the store managers name and then I'll go." She just stood there. I asked for her name, and she refused.
I pull up my cell phone to get a photo of the employee and she lunges across the counter trying to grab my phone. Throws the food I had brought in on the floor and then storms outside as I'm walking out yelling "I'm so tired of you people" while taking photos of my vehicle and me.
100% unhinged behavior from an employee who just made a mistake and could have been easily fixed.
Del taco management, I would review your cameras between 9:40-9:50am on 7/5 to see the incident...
Read moreOne word! Awful! Went inside around 3:00 pm to eat in the dining room and was ignored for a good ten minutes before an employee who I’m guessing was the manager mumbled to us. We told her that we didn’t hear what she said and she stated that she was closing the dining room and that we could order in 30 minutes. She then proceeded to lock the doors and continued to ignore my family and other customer behind us. We asked her what was going on and she just said she was closing the dining room and that we could order in 30 minutes. I watched a few minutes and it appeared that they were taking care of only the drive thru customers now. When asked why she wasn’t going to take care our orders she said again….. not for 30 minutes. I asked a teen employee if that was the manager and it appeared that he was afraid to answer in front of her and a couple of other employees that were whispering amongst themselves. The teen appeared embarrassed for this managers behavior and said he would take our order anyway. I told him thank you, but there is no way that I would ever eat or want the food prepared under the supervision of her and proceeded to unlock the double bolted doors, so that we could leave. Who ever is running this store is lacking any management and customer service skills. I didn’t mind waiting, however just don’t ignore your customers, lock the doors and then don’t explain what was going on. This isn’t the first time this particular Del Taco in Surprise has just randomly closed, however given the difficulty to hire staff I have always been understanding and patient. This was not the case this time, as there was plenty of staff, however they were being supervised by an incompetent manager. I will say that it will be my LAST time I ever go to this business again. I went through the drive thur and ordered 15 chicken tacos with no sauce and a macho fry. They asked me to pulled and bring them out to me when ready. I looked at my Receipt and noticed it didn’t say no sauce, so I walked inside and approached the counter. The lady in light blue says “ yes” I told her I requested no sauce on my tacos but it doesn’t show on my receipt. She tells me well then you will have sauce. I repeated myself say I ordered them without. She then literally throws her hands on the top of her head and says OH MY GOD!!! Then goes to the cook and tells her. She says oh well they are already made. I then told her I ordered them without sauce and I said it at the speaker box. They kept making it a big deal. They lady I. Blue then tells the young man there put all her tacos in one bag. They young man was very polite and handed me my tacos then the lady in blue asked me what else do you need? I told her I prefer fries and and I am waiting for them. Then I ask the young man for some del scorcho and she tells the young man no I can go get it myself she points to the tables. They young man still gives me the hot sauce. I then ask for a corporate number she says we don’t have corporate, I asked for the owner information she says I don’t know that information. I asked her for her name and she ignored, I asked for a number to speak to someone higher than her and she kept ignoring me! This lady clearly hate her job and is in the wrong line of work.
