Not much going on in this shopping area. There's a Toys R Us that has a great stock, but horrible employees. The check-out process is always bad. I always get one of the ghetto cashiers of whom only speak in Ebonics and end up making me ask them to repeat themselves. I've reached the point (in general/all occasions) that if you're gonna talk ignorantly like that, I will ask you to repeat yourself until you speak correctly. There is no reason to tolerate Ebonics or any other broken version of the English language. They really seem to struggle there with this. God forbid you have one of their 20% off coupons and you get one of the ghetto cashiers. They freak out like it's the endtimes or something. I do not blame management for improper training, I blame the managers for not seeing that some people just cannot comprehend the right way to do things. I've actually had one of the cashiers request that I save it and use it next time just to avoid hassle. Obviously I refused and requested a manager. This did not make the cashier happy, and she developed an attitude over it immediately. Besides the pathetic, ignorant ghetto cashiers, there are good employees there also and their stock is usually great. I always find a few things I need for my collection or for a friend. Just try not to ask for assistance from the ghetto workers. If it isn't Madden for Xbox, they...
Read moreWent in to visit Michaels. Didn't realize there was a restroom inside the store, so I went to follow the signs to the restrooms. After walking down hallways and such for what feels like forever when you have to go, an employee gets off the elevator. I stopped her and politely asked where the restroom was. She mumbled and pointed upstairs. I then asked if she knew if there was one inside the Joann's store. Her response: eyes rolling, "idk bc i didn't even know there was a Joann's here."
So, instead of either understanding I meant Michaels, or reminding me that there wasn't a Joann's in their Plaza, I got to deal with that while doing the peepee dance.
When I turned around, another employee was walking my way. I, again politely stopped her and asked if she knew if there was a restroom inside of Joann's. She smiled and asked if I meant Michael's, and that's when I got it! I then immediately yelled over my shoulder, at the other employee who should've still been able to hear me, that she was right. There's no Joann's here.
The Plaza/mall is beautiful and well lit. It's very clean and most of the stores' employees seem professional enough. It's unfortunate that one employee causes a...
Read moreWe went to Kenwood because we had reservations and we had time so we into the mall.
We wanted to locate the restaurant and used the map but in waking around seemed to get lost. So I tried to stop at a kiosk in the middle to ask directions, the mall security guard turned to me and shifted a sign that stated "we are not the customer service desk" and I'm sorry first off how is this a thing now? They didn't say a word to me the person at kiosk or security guard for mall just shifted the sign to show me what it said. I thought it was incredibly rude and I don't know what the kiosk was selling or how the mall security person could do that. This isn't good customer service on the part of the kiosk having that sign and the security guard showing me the sign.
I like going to malls and shopping and checking out what both the kiosks and stores have. But this left a bad taste in my mouth and thought I'd share the experience.
We continued walking and my boyfriend found another security person who gave directions. We thanked her and...
