Michaels — Local services in Sycamore Township

I will NEVER be going back to any Michael's, let alone this location ever again. This location now has self checks that do NOT work. I went there today and it froze on me not once, but twice. The second time it froze, an employee came over and cleared the entire order off the screen so I had to start all over. I was like um excuse me? So at that point I was done with the self checks. I had to track down an employee and asked her to actually check me out in person at a register and said if that couldn't be done, I'd take my business elsewhere. She acted like that was the hardest thing in the world to do, and did it but very reluctantly. During the entire process, I saw four different employees wandering around like lost puppies. Why couldn't at least one of those employees be assigned to a register?? So sick and tired of this younger generation wanting to get paid but not actually work. I will now be going to Hobby Lobby instead...

I really want to love this location, but whoever made the decisions on how to organize the aisles..... wow. It's a bit difficult to find specific items, unless all you want is random generic decor. Sale items are mixed in with regularly priced items, so you might face disappointment at the checkout. I went in for summer and Spring flowers, to make a new door wreath. There were signs covering the entire floral section saying that all Spring and summer flowers were on sale, but only one of my actual items rang up at a discount. A clerk told me I had to look at each individual tag to know which ones were on sale, but the flowers don't have a tag on them that specify which season they belong to. And the aisles are always filled with boxes and carts, making it difficult to...

In addition, they have an enormous volumn of toys, crafts, and games for children. The children's area is a delight for children and adults alike. I can't wait to visit the Montgomery Road Michael's store in the near future. Outstanding...
