I like this place a lot and want them to succeed! The food is delicious and fresh with lots of rotating options that keep you coming back for more.
I have ordered online and in-store for takeout and it is usually expedient. I recommend walking in & not ordering ahead, however, as I’m not sure the store is able to manage its timing with online orders. I usually wait the longest for online orders, even if I pad the estimated wait time by 10+ minutes.
However, I do think where this place can improve most is better training their front of house team. My visit tonight exemplified this. I walked right up to the counter 30 minutes after I ordered (with an estimated completion time of 18 minutes). The single staff member on the line (who was doing an order for two other folks in line. I don’t mind waiting a little extra, but then I saw a team member peek around the corner, see me, and just go into the back. Once the order for the other two folks was almost done, the kind staff member asked if I were here for pickup. I gave my name, and she said, “just a moment, I think it’s being made,” pointing to two semi-completed bowls.
I was ready to cancel my order right then😭. I can’t tell you how much “be right with you” or “just a moment” really helps smooth over the occasional frustration or wait and I’d love to see that here! It’s also confusing to see one person working on the counter and other staff members peek around the corner and not greet or help waiting customers. Other than that…

Read moreI went in around 5:30, there we only 3 employees out with a line starting to form to the back door. I was fine with the wait but the girl working hot made me uncomfortable. I asked her how she was doing, she said "old", I was like ok and she kept going, "I'm 54, how old are you?" I didnt know what to respond before she said "jk, I'm 17, how old are you?" And kept asking before I threw out a number to get her to drop it. All the while taking more time to talk to me instead if the 4 online orders she decided to "knock out" before taking my order. I got a bibicup as I always do and I asked for rice and noodles, she gave me a nasty no, I think not, which is fine but no reason to be rude because I wouldn't play into her age game. Then I proceeded to wait anothe 5 minutes in line before a manager came out to help on the line as most of the line behind me left, (I should have too). I noticed they had some menu changes that I was excited for, onions, salmon, ect. I asked if I could have salmon on my cup and I was told no. I told them I had no problem paying xtra for it so they gave me a cup with a peice of salmon the size of my thumb and charged like 7 bucks for it just to be dry and flavorless Menu prices were not clear. The bibicup used to be $5 bit now is $6, which I was fine with, except they hardly filled the cup and told me no to multiple requests I made. I use to love bibibop but I will not be back.

Read moreI think this could have been a 4 star. This place is like a more complicated, less good version of Cupbop, a company that originated out of a food truck in Utah. That place has amazing lively service, food, and atmosphere. The menu is simpler making any variation of ingredients work. Here you can definitely ruin your dish by picking the wrong ingredients which makes ordering hard as a first time customer.
My to go order was ready when I arrived. The employee handing it off was pleasant.
I was very excited to have the sweet potato noodles as I rarely see them. They were good. My biggest issue with my food was the chicken. I got the spicy chicken. It was bland with no heat and was very overcooked, hard, and dry. Maybe prepared days ago.
My second issue was with some of the portions. Overall the size of the bowl was pretty good. But They only gave like tablespoons of cheese and kimchi. It was good initially but once all my noodles and red onion were gone, the rest of the bowl was not very good. If I were to go again, I would probably have to avoid a protein altogether or maybe try the tofu, avoid some toppings and ask for extra of others.
Atmosphere was a bit stale and seating not very comfortable with only one booth in the restaurant.
Not bad (besides the chicken) but probably...
