Serengeti Flyer — Attraction in Tampa

I recently had the privilege (or should I say, the terror?) of experiencing the Serengeti Flyer at Busch Gardens, and let me tell you, it’s an absolute adrenaline rush! This ride is probably the most heart-pounding and exhilarating experience you can have at the park.

From the moment you board, you can feel the anticipation building as the ride swings you up into the air at an astonishing speed. The sheer force and acceleration are enough to make your heart race. But what truly sets this ride apart is the heart-stopping moment when you are pushed back towards the ground.

When you’re facing downward, it’s impossible not to feel like you’re about to be sent plummeting to the earth. The platform clears the ground by only about a foot, and that sensation of impending doom is simply mind-blowing. It’s a roller coaster of emotions as you alternate between the thrill of the ascent and the terror of the descent.

The Serengeti Flyer is not for the faint of heart, but if you’re an adrenaline junkie seeking the ultimate thrill, this ride is an absolute must-try. Don’t let the reviewers with only one review fool you, this ride isn’t that good. This is a great S&S Screamin Swing, with a fantastic view. But an 80 minute wait with only one side running, slow as molasses operations, and team members letting people with the wrong quick queue cut in line because they “didn’t know” when it says so right on the card, overhear this conversation, and you’ve waited over an hour in line because you have the same Platinum pass one use quick queue and can read do bring down the experience.

Overall, a great add for the park, only wish Falcons Fury wasn’t “missing” a “part” from “Liechtenstein”. Then there would be two world class flat rides.

I went to Busch Gardens recently with my family, I'm afraid of heights so I didn't do too many rides. I thought I was going to die on the Serengeti flyer, the husband and I almost divorced during the ride (he told me it was a small swing) 😂 lol but I enjoyed the animals, giraffes, elephants, alligator or crocodile,monkeys were hilarious and flamingos! They have a safari, it is extra money and the food is pricey but not sure if it's worth it. No need for an express pass unless you have fat pockets and also went to hall O scream and totally loved it. Never bought a pass and still got to ride every ride. Favorite ride- River Rapids.
