I purchased a recliner (among other pieces of furniture) less than two years ago from the Arizona Leather, Tempe store. The recliner is used primarily by my wife, who is not a heavy person. In the past several of months, I noticed that the seat cushion has failed, flattened and was no longer firm. I did not think that the seat cushion should fail after less than 2 years of partial usage, especially since I have an older model that I use, purchased 8+ years ago, and the seat cushion on that older model remains very firm.
I contacted Arizona Leather and spoke to Mike at the Tempe store. I told him the issue I am having with the newer recliner. His first option was to give me filling to fill in the cushion back to normal size. I did not want this band aid approach and asked him about a warranty claim. Mike asked me what cushion quality I purchased and I did not know and I assumed for the premium price I paid for the recliner (including electric recliner, lumbar and head rest), I was getting a high quality piece of furniture. I then referenced the older recliner that has a much heavier man sitting on it (me) and that cushion is still firm. I again asked Mike about a warranty claim. Mike told me he would check with management to see if the recliner qualified for a warranty claim. I waited for a response from Mike for several weeks and he never called me back. I called Mike again and he let me know he spoke to management and my recliner seat cushion was not eligible for a warranty claim. I tried to reason with Mike again referencing the quality product I thought I was purchasing and comparing it to the older recliner previously purchased from AZ Leather. Mike would not reconsider and refused to consider a warranty claim to replace the cushion.
My recent experience with AZ Leather and their unwillingness to stand by and back up their product prompted me to write this review. I paid a premium for the recliner that I purchased from AZ Leather, since I had a previously good experience and my previous purchases was for high quality piece of furniture. This last experience was disappointing and I will never purchase anything from AZ Leather again. ...
Read moreMy wife and I were looking for a leather sectional for literally 2 years. We hit every department store and furniture store we could find. We ran into such poorly constructed furniture. I mean we would shake it and it would feel like it was on the verge of falling apart. We would read reviews and there would be a host of problems. We nearly bought one knowing we would be replacing it in 7 years. On a whim we went into Arizona Leather. We spent hours in the store with Michael that answered every question we had. We shook furniture and sat on every one of the sectionals n the store multiple times. Then we went back the next day and did it again and asked a lot more questions, I have to say the Michael was awesome and was patient as heck with us. We finally bought our sectional and it was delivered in February. I will admit it was nerve racking waiting for it to be built and delivered. Also there was the fear of, “will the quality and color match the show room?’. Plus we ended up paying a little bit more than we had budgeted but there is no doubt in our minds that this will last for the next 20+ years. Each one is built here in the states and the quality shows. Michael is a superstar and we are totally in love with the sectional. Also all of our boys and dogs are hanging out more in the living room and the sectional is taking the abuse without a scratch! No doubt one of the best furniture purchases we made and as I said there customer service...
Read moreProbably one of THE most disappointing shopping experiences of my life. I went ahead and purchased a leather sofa that I saw displayed in their store. At the time of purchase I was asked to sign some kind of disclosure saying that I understood that the color may "vary" a little from what I saw in the store. Being that leather is a natural material, It was understandable that it would not be the same sofa as the one in the store. HOWEVER, what I got 7 or 8 weeks later was a COMPLETELY different color than the one I asked for, I mean, it wasn't even in the same ballpark!!! Oh yea, they make you pay for the balance of the sofa b4 you even get to see it, at 4000 dollars, they are pretty darn proud of their sofas too!!! On a side note, I went to clean a small stain and the sofa and the color just rubbed off!! Apparently Arizona Leather has very low quality standards. Just trying to warn other consumers b4 they dish out that kind of money for something they haven't...
