DO NOT trust this shady business, nor many of their likely phony reviews.
I came here mattress shopping and dealt with each member of this family on several occasions both in person and via the phone. Each interaction was somehow worse than the last.
1st visit: Found a mattress i liked but wanted to shop around. The lady salesperson(wife/mother?) told me theyd been in business there for 15+ years, but their website clearly states theyve only been there for 6. So she lied, but whatever. I check their site, and nothing they list matches whats in store at all, and the lady later confirms its not updated.
2nd visit: the "son" kept having to check the details on the mattress i liked, and still gave me several wrong specs on it that were just things i wanted to hear. I looked up details later to find out he misled me, so i shop elsewhere.
3rd visit: i finally commit to what i was last showed since nowhere else had the specs i needed. I ask the original lady why the son gave me bad info. She gives me a nonsensical run-around answer that gave no info, but i buy it anyways since my GF and i had been without a bed for a week after moving and we just wanted one at that point.
I swipe/tap my card several times but it fails and she says it must be my card. I call my bank, and everythings fine. I tell her and the husband/father. They say their machine has problems and often breaks. Then why did they just let me spend 15 mins on the phone with my bank and let me think i was the problem???
He calls up the machine company while trying to fix it and tells me it'll be 10 mins. I wait 20 mins: no update. I ask and he says 5 more mins. I wait another 20 mins and he looks at me and jokes about how bored i look. He wasted 55 mins of my time, lied about a fix time, and had the nerve to joke about me being bored? I give him 5 more mins and tell him im not waiting but ill order on the phone. He tries to get me to wait AGAIN before i leave. No apology for my wasted time, just jokes and inconsideration.
1st call: i ask the owner for the correct mattress specs, and he doesnt know them at all, so he calls me back on a 3way call with a manufacturer rep to explain. So the owner didnt even know what he was selling??? I quote the price the son had initially gave me, and the dad tries to upcharge it and then make it sound like hes giving me a really great deal for the price i was quoted like im some idiot. i order it, and am told i can pickup from the store in 1 week after 1pm.
2nd call: i call on delivery day at 5pm to confirm it arrived. They tell me its delayed another week because "labor day put the manufacturer behind". I dont see how a 1 day holiday postpones delivery a whole week. My friend with a truck had cleared his afternoon to help deliver it, and they didnt even inform me until i called them, so they wasted both my and his time by not letting us know. Im annoyed, but let it slide, and request delivery.
3rd call: i dont recieve it at the set time/day, so i call again just for them to tell me its been delayed "because of labor day again". 2 weeks delay??? For 1 holiday??? And still no heads up??? Im ready for a refund but they offered free shipping, so i let it slide one more time.
4th call: they finally call me 1st on delivery day to tell me its delayed ANOTHER week AFTER id already waited a 2 whole extra weeks. I immediately demanded a refund.
The manufacturer has their factory and warehouse in phoenix, so it was highly unlikely this was a delivery issue. Even if it was mostly the manufacturer's fault, this store's sketchy and inconsiderate behavior from start to finish shows they very clearly played a large in role in this fiasco.
Deceptive product details and practices, scummy sales tactics, no communication, and no consideration for my time, money, or schedule. If they can lie, mess up, and screw me over so many times on such a simple order, theres no way they earned or deserve the positive reviews that are listed on here. Showed me around the choices of couches they had. I found one by Ashley furniture and was very happy about the price, got it right away and it also came with delivery and assemble. Very easy and happy first time experience. I still have the couch and it’s still in great condition nowadays. Second time I walked in there was about 3 years ago. I was looking for furnitures for a 3 bedroom townhouse. The place is empty and I need couches & two bedroom set & an office set & dining table for it. I was in the store about no more than an hour. Got all the furnitures I need, talked to Albert and his son Joe about the price. They offered me a nice discount since I was buying lots of furnitures. I was again happy with the price I was paying. In about 2 weeks I got all my furnitures delivered and assembled. 👍🏼 Today I walked in again, this time my boyfriend and I are moving in together to a bigger house. We need a new queen bedroom set for the guest room. Albert instantly remembered me and gave me the biggest smile. We quickly found the set we liked, again he offered us a nice discount and thanked me for being his loyal customer. He said he liked my energy but honestly, we loved HIS energy and his hospitality made me very happy, warm just like a family member. I really appreciate him and I’m always thrilled the way how to took care of me or other customers. Albert is a great person. And he really put in efforts to make his customers happy. He’s been showing me he cared about me and my budget since day 1. I’m so happy now I know someone who’s in the furniture business. Read moreThe friendliness and professionalism are all just veneer to get you to open your wallet. They did not stand behind their "great warranty" when I filed a claim within the allowable timeframe. In the words of Succession's Logan Roy, "[They] are not serious people." It took daily spamming of unreturned phone calls and messages with various employees to get nowhere. I am not sure why I was treated so badly in this whole matter, but they were too afraid to come clean about messing up and continued to double down on the lies. It took me nearly SIX MONTHS to finally call BS and put in an inquiry through local news consumer affairs. Only then did these clowns jump and try to make things right. Repairman did a shoddy (read: cheap) job, and replaced foam lasted less than a year before bottoming out again. Ashley corporate was not helpful in escalating complaints about authorized retailers; in fact I would say their corporate team enabled this store's bad behavior with scripted, cavalier customer service where nobody spoke English as a first language.
It's hard to be angry at Best Deal Furniture, because they so perfectly represented the absolute WORST and most terrible parts of the Ashley brand. Great news is I don't ever have to worry about shopping here, or owning another Ashley product again. Best Deal Furniture's poor internal management forced the loss of a customer. Do not shop here, or waste your time.
There is really nothing for the store owner to reply to on this negative review, because YOU know how badly you behaved, so any further explanation or apology only makes you look even worse by continuing to deflect personal responsibility. I wish you a better retailer than...
