The Gaming Zone — Attraction in Tempe

Don't trade your games here. We brought in one of my favorite N64 games (Majora's Mask Gold) and they busted it. Unscrewed the back and now it's cracked. Was almost in tears this morning seeing it. We went to go trade in what we had left to Another game store today and they offered more than double what this shop did. I was appalled, and frankly so was the manager of this game shop. He couldn't believe they offered such a low amount AND destroyed our cartridge without even saying anything. They wouldn't do the update on our Xbox either that we were trying to trade in. Don't go here to trade. Games are also marked a lot higher than other shops.

UPDATE: just noticed the store is trying to place damage on me, my game was NOT damaged, and I was playing it before I came. My game was in good condition until they decided to tamper with it. We went to a different game store and they were appalled just by the fact they wouldn’t buy the Xbox that was in near perfect condition. Just save your money, and save your items.

SECOND UPDATE: No one ever reached out to me, and the game was not broken. The N64 had damage, but the kid at the desk even admitted to not being able to get a screw back into the cartridge because he had damaged it. You’re a garbage company, who is obviously to pompous to...

So yesterday, I saw they posted some games on their facebook and instagram page. I go in store to inquire and even referred to the post. The dude working there was rude and was telling me he doesn’t know what I am talking about and they never had those games. And I say he was rude because of his tone and mannerisms towards me. I was confused by the response because they literally just posted the games they received 30 minutes prior. I would have accepted, “hey I am sorry, but we haven’t processed those games yet”, but instead I was met with rudeness. And I am one of those people if I am rude by all means be rude to me back, but I was actually being respectful towards him. He was much nicer to my fiancé with his questions. I don’t know if it’s because I am a female. I normally shop at the Gilbert location and Jay over there is great and never had issues and have always been met with respect. Even Glendale, they are nicer. But this is the third time attempting to go to Tempe and the same guy is consistently rude to me and only nice to my fiancé. I guess I know I need to stay far away from the...

One of my new favorite places.

Better than GameStop, zia, bookman's, and well.... Everywhere else. This store takes pride in what they do. I love that they honor retro games and consoles as if they were still current and new. And gamers of all ages are welcome. The guys there are honest, and genuine in their interests into the game world and the place truly feels like a home.

Their arcade lounge is the best I've come across, and have already been back more than once. Honestly I'd pay extra for a monthly membership just for their arcade.

Don't forget to get your business t shirts, with them everything is 10% off when you wear the shirt in store while shopping.

I have zero complaints, and I highly very highly recommend this locally game store. They've got everything you could possibly want or need to have a wonderful time at home with your equipment or a full day gaming away in their arcade with zero judgement.

I'd give more stars if I could, instead I'll come in more. Show my support, especially when I feel this place is a community hub for the gaming...
