I’ll start by saying I really wanted to like this wine. The winery is owned by a very nice retired couple that followed a dream to own a winery. The wife is the wine master, and the husband pours the samples. The entire experience was very disappointing. My friends and I visited a couple wine tasting shops in Tombstone with limited expectations, although this exceeded my worst fears. All of the wines were cloudy and apparently unfiltered with a LOT of sediment. The whites had a distinct smell of various cleaning solvents, and most of the reds looked more like a smoothy than wine. The taste was as disappointing as the appearance. It was all we could do to finish the samples with a smile and politely extricate ourselves from the premises. Enter at...
Read moreWow! Just wow!! This is not tourist wine! This tasting is more than worth it. The Bore doe rivals some $300+ bottles I've tasted and the doc is an amazing petite Syrah. The Riesling is in like none I've ever tasted. These are real winery wines, not grocery store or drug store, but while the bottle prices may be higher than you want to pay the taste of these wines is hundreds of dollars more than they are charging and they are sold for a reasonable price for the quality and type of wines they are. If you want a bargain enjoy the tasting, if you want good, seriously good wine you found it. The owners make the wine on the premises and are wonderfully nice people. Looking for the gem in Tombstone, you...
Read moreI am not a connoisseur by any means, but my wife and I stopped in today, a quiet Sunday in Tombstone. We were the only ones there and chatted with Hank for about 30 minutes and found him to be delightful. He gave us some tasting notes and we enjoyed all the samples and purchased a couple of bottles. We were at the Arizona wine festival in Tucson just yesterday and sampled many Arizona varieties and these would have held up against any of them. I saw some reviews commented on sediment, and yes there was a very small bit of it but Hank had already explained that there would be and why there was. Don’t let some of the snobbier reviews on here scare you off, was probably the highlight of our quick trip...
